Yes June 5th is OSCAR night in Vegas. Sky will probably make the whole show - UK then USA - PPV.
Though apart from Johnson/Calzaghe it'll be a load of mismatches.

Don't blame Showtime for passing on Hatton beating up yet another lightweight punchbag.

Don't be surprised if Oscar doesn't look all that great against Sturm, I think he is going to struggle against a genuine middleweight, even a pretty ordinary one.

Remember, he struggled to handle Mosley's power punches, even though he won the fight, and yet Mosley was absolutely owned by Wright.

Oscar isn't going to be strong at middleweight at all, my feeling is that he is going to get shocked at how hard it is against Sturm, and decide against getting his ass whupped by Hop.

I have had Sky TV for the past two weeks and I am so disappointed re the boxing it is unreal. Not to pluck any heart strings but I'm in no position to lash out on financial commitments but I didn't think I could do without it.

As far as the last two weeks are concerned, I should have kept my money in my pocket.

Good promotion for the Hatton bill but advertising for Brodie-Chi was negligible at best. No Ringside last week. If this week's show is anything to go by, they just show a bit of footage and have a chat about fighters they cover or are interested in covering. Is this a boxing programme that has a duty to the paying subscriber or not? If so, it should widen its focus dramatically.

On top of all this, once you've paid the exorbitant subscription, they try and nail you again for any fight that has a high-profile.

Not a happy man. Thank God the cricket coverage is shit hot!

I'm increasingly exasperated with Sky and their boxing coverage. They showed diabolical boxing judgement in not giving the 'Ringside' treatment to a rare, genuine world title fight in this country (Brodie-Chi).
What was all that about?
They also missed the chance to acknowledge one of their KEY men in Jim Watt last night on 'Ringside' when referring to Craig Docherty's fight at the Kelvin Hall next week. In the very same week at the very same venue 25 years ago, Jim Watt was crowned WBC lightweight champion. How could they miss that? Two massive errors of judgement in two weeks in my opinion.

Thats dreadful. It shows that the SKY Sports department must be full of football fans.

Yes I don't bother watching Ringside these days, the few times I've tuned in it's been fairly crap all round.
Dempsey hyping up some non event seems to be the usual theme.

The recent Arthur and Hatton mismatches do the game no favours at all.

I just read a letter in BN, from a guy who tried to return his tickets for the Hatton/Pinto fight after he heard it was going to be a lightweight replacement.
He was told no refunds.
