I cant remember the EBU rules.

We had a similar problem here some years back. Soren Sondergaard was to fight against his mandatory Jose Manuel Berdonces from Spain. But a couple of days before Sondergaard had to pull out, he retired, and Team Palle offered Berdonces to fight vs Thomas Damgaard. Berdonces, and EBU, accepted this. Its a bit different here since its not the home fighter that is pulling out but I think that if they can find a fighter that is ranked by EBU at lightwelter it can be for the european title.

I cant see Witter doing a more impressive job thought, Hatton dominated him. Witter will find it hard to look better.

Be fair to Junior though. He wants to fight Hatton. But it appears that the powers that be dont want Hatton to face him.

Yes, but don't you think Witter would have done better to just get on with it and worry about the Hatton fight when it comes along, rather than just obsessing day and night about fighting Ricky, it's done his career no good at all..

I hope the European title can be the start of something big for Junior, and that he gets the chance to prove whether or not he is the real deal.

Certainly, he is unlikely to be mollycoddled by Hennessey if he stays with him.

Yes i agree, if he had not been so obsessed with Hatton and gone a different career path he would have made more money and probably had better success rather than beating stiffs all the time. Did he genuinely believe he had the beating of Hatton or was he always just after that big payday? I would like to know.
