Curtis Woodhouse? I need to lose 3 stone and get fit, but give me 2 months and I'll knock him out and send him back to the Coca-Cola league.....

So is Ryan a Hayemaker fighter? Sorry bit slow on the uptake here.
Re: Hayemaker Boxing open forum...September 1st, Rotherham
Yeah, he is Stu. I'm presuming that this will be when the opponent for 15/11 will be announced. At least I hope.
Re: Hayemaker Boxing open forum...September 1st, Rotherham

Gutted it's too far for me to make it. Should be interesting.
Haye is on Bunce's show this week. Wonder if he will have anything to announce.

I would be very surprised if there's any November announcement this early on.
Re: Hayemaker Boxing open forum...September 1st, Rotherham
Do you not think it's getting a bit close, though? We're less than 11 weeks away now and I would presume that US TV will want to sort out promos soon.
A mate at a satellite broadcaster has said the list is down to two, and if what I've been told is correct I may pee myself with glee, but he's not always right. But the names have also popped up on a rival forum, so I dunno.

I'll post what is said Monday mate.
Maybe the list is down to two - and maybe tactically it's best to keep two on the hook, and give as little notice as possible to the first choice ?
Dunno.

That's a really good point. I didn't think of that. I'm just like an excited boy waiting for Xmas.

That's the way I see it.
Haye will need to reap every advantage available.
Giving any top ten ranked heavyweight seriously long notice of this fight to prepare just isn't the done thing.
Before anyone gets all hyped up, it happens on a regular basis.

EPNG,
I asked the question, and David confirmed an announcement would be made on or before 16-09-08.

You can download a podcast of the open forum at the UK MMA site http://www.hurtbusiness.com
If you've got i-tunes, click on that link as it is much quicker.
It's a big file- so the direct download from the blog takes a while.

Hayemaker hold press conference to announce Haye at the O2
David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye’s eagerly-awaited heavyweight debut will be officially announced on Wednesday, September 3rd at Greenwich’s magnificent O2 Arena.
The Hayemaker Boxing press conference – open to both the press and any members of the public wishing to attend – will commence from 11.30 AM. Present at the conference will be former undisputed world cruiserweight champion David Haye, as well as head Hayemaker honchos Adam Booth and David Coldwell.
Haye’s heavyweight curtain raiser will be screened live and exclusively by Setanta Sports and will mark the second of Hayemaker Boxing’s 2008 promotions.
The inaugural promotion arrives on September 20 in Sheffield, when Ryan Rhodes headlines ‘The Rhodes-show’ in a defence of his British light-middleweight title against Scotland’s Jamie Coyle. An intriguing chief support contest sees the pairing of featherweight contenders and Hayemaker team-mates Derry Mathews and Martin Lindsay in a British title eliminator.

i was at the conference with my son, the jist we got was that it wont be toney as haye prefers stand up and at you fighters, not short 'roller' type. his favoured typeof fighters are vertical eastern europeans, therefore the likes of golota would fit the bill. so i would say its either golota or rahman. but all comers are wanting silly money.
