What fights would you recommend to get on tape?

Post by bennie »

I was thinking of the second Bowe-Golota fight the other day. What a modern classic! To me, it was the 90's equivalent of George Foreman against Ron Lyle.
I would also recommend Duran-Palomino on tape. Duran was right at his peak in 1979-80. And a peak Duran was the complete fighter. It's an education just watching him.

As far as British fights i loved the Wayne Rigby/Micheal Ayers fights and also Dunne against Schwer. I haven't got them on tape but i want to see them again desperately.
On the world scene, off the top of my head;
Monzons fights with Griffith (Monzon's my favourite fighter).
Holyfields fights at cruiser are excellent viewing. He was some fighter in his prime.
Junior Jones vs Kennedy McKinney. Great while it lasted.
Barrera/Morales 1. I was away from home and my old man forgot to set the video for me (boy was i mad).
Julio Cesar Chavez was a great fighter to watch in his prime. I'd love to have more of his earlier fights.
Lastly, any Leonard fight. I seem to appreciate him more and more every time i see one of his fights. The guy had everything.

MW would have to go along with The A Team. I seem to remember they once made an armoured car out of an empty baked bean tin and a piece of string! :D

Didn't they once make a tank that fired Cabbages (the vegetable not people in a coma) out of a lawnmower and some wooden crates? :D

Class. :lol: They probably did too. Face Man was such a sneaky bastard, he would have fired people in comas out of a tank though. I think I need to get out more.
