The poll could have been: Are you a mug?

1. No No No
2. Yes
3. Maybe

We would have had the exact same result!

£15 for a crap card ... or just watch a live stream.

No-brainer.

If this was on ITV I'd be sure to watch, just saw that 2 round vid of Prescott

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0hxjhQwt1-A

He's slower than Khan, and I reckon Khan will find him early and get the KO, because he doesn't look too sturdy. But he also looks like he's got a good right hand punch, enough to put Amir over if he lands - hope there's a stream of this up somewhere :TU:

Sky should buy the rights for the Diaz - Katsidis fight and show this later on SBO to make the card more buyable.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. That's what they did back in the 90s with the mega-shows that lasted about 10 hours. Naz, Collins, Benn, Winky etc. at the MEN, then over to Vegas for Holyfield-Tyson, Moorer-Botha etc. That was value for money. It's disgraceful that Sky are failing to show a potential classic between 2 top 10 lightweights the same night they are charging 15 quid to watch the unproven v. the unknown.

Yes, that makes perfect sense.

Spend £200,000, or whatever to buy the rights to a fight that will draw ummmm, what? approx 15 more PPV buys?

Guys, this isnt 1997 anymore, the days of the double headed, stacked to the gills PPV cards on SKY are long gone

alas, alas

I loved those 90's PPV's too, but the 2nd half of your post doesnt make a lot of sense

The reason Khan is on PPV is because people will pay to Khan fight, if they put the Diaz fight on PPV, im sure a lot of the self styled hardcore would drone on and on about what real PPV match uo it is, but very few of you would actually buy it.

You are approaching the "world of PPV's" all back to front, its not a question of "is it a great fight" its a question of "will people pay to see it?"

There's no way I would pay for this, and I can't understand why anyone would.

Actually he looks very left hook happy, except for the fact he takes about 30seconds thinking about how wide he can loop the left hook before he throws it. Can't see him landing anything significant. At least a full blown lightweight though although I agree his lanky look gives him a chinny appearance

search wrote:unfortunately many people don't realize the stage we are entering into. every khan fight a PPV now. Every degale fight a PPV. Every major fight a PPV. Look at america, EVERYTHING is PPV over there.

Unfortunately the idiots buying this Khan fight have a strong case of hyperopia, or in other words, short sightedness.

It might take them years to cop on.
idiots?

Why so?

Lets say its a great card and people have a great time, what makes them idiots? Its only £15 FFS

there is a dreadful lack of perspective going on 'ere

So would it "only" be £15 if that was the fee to watch every commonwealth champion from Great Britain? It's not okay just because it's Amir Khan. He has been STRUGGLING at domestic level and would have been taken apart by Romanov. Next thing he's on PPV. Utter shite.

It might be only be £15 but the fact that you can watch it without paying that £15 within a week after the fight shows what mugs you are
