5-7 small meals a day in 3hourly intervals = optimising insulin levels and stopping your body shutting into starvation mode
What:
Meals consisting of: 30-50grams from low fat protein sources, 20-30g very low glycemic carbs (slow burning so insulin isn't spike), as much leafy green veg you can eat (take more calories to burn than they contain)
Supplements: Whey Isolate (between meals), ECA+Y Stack (after meals), Nitric Oxide (between meals), Fish oil (with), MultiVitamins+High Dose C/E/B, CEE (between meals), Glutamine/HMB/BCAA (between meals) + other cutting agents if you get deperate to shift the last few pounds
Extras: 5-6litres of water, No Sugar (possibly post workout), No Snacks
Its not rocket science
hmmmmmm
i cant imagine he takes Ephedrine, but does anyone know for sure?
Having used Ephedrine, i wouldnt have thought it was a good idea

Its a bit odd that our 2 best fighters (Calzaghe and Hatton) sparring is, by all accounts, a bit of a joke.DavidPayne wrote:A loss. Though I don't like the fascination with weights.

Re: KAYES LEAVES HATTON AS WELL?
Does anyone know if Hatton has used full contact sparring with other fighters in preparation for his bouts at all, besides the body bag exercise.
I've never seen any pictures of him sparring.
I've read that Malignaagi has been in intense training for several weeks already and Hatton has not started yet?
I wish as a Hatton fan he would have prepared 12 weeks and stayed nearer his fighting weight all year round. It is just too much strain on the body to lose 30 or 40 lbs and still keep your punch and speed. Malignaggi is much tougher than people think. I hope Ricky is truly ready for this as Malignaggi is almost impossible to hit cleanly and the word is he is getting into fantastic shape.
Thanks,
Rory

Malignaggi training schedule has nothing what so ever to do with Hatton, a veteran of some 40 odd fights

Mark my words, the loss of Kayes IS a huge blow to Hatton.
Not only did he do his nutrition but also oversaw all of his weight training.
I would not be at all suprised if Ricky could / did not make the weight (in a proper fashion).

its not rocket science is it. why bother with any trainers at all.....
Huge loss to Hatton. The last four rounds with Malignaggi could get ugly.

Yes Sir, I shall stop panicking immeidately Sir, thank you. Malignaggi's training has nothing to do with Hatton as the actual man he is going to have to fight that night while being so overweight and being a veteran of 40 fights who is now older? Sage advice Sir, you are so right, nothing to do with him whatsoever. One chap traiining for 12 weeks starting out in shape the other for 8 weeks having to drop 30-40lbs. I am quite sure they know what they are doing also and he will be in his best shape ever.
I feel so silly even thinking it. Endless apologies mate.

Re: KAYES LEAVES HATTON AS WELL?
Missing out on the biggest name in boxing is a mistake. Hatton will regret this, both have only a couple of fights left. This would be a huge challenge and Hatton will have to be mentally focussed. I agree that he would be a huge underdog but financially and legacy wise this is the biggest fight out ther for him by far. Why not take it, because he would lose? If that was his mindset why take the Mayweather fight.banjo wrote:Not necessarily, yeah he'd have received the biggest purse of his career but he'd likely have been on the receiving end of a career-ending beatdown.Colesy wrote:Also passing up the ODLH fight was a mistake.

Re: KAYES LEAVES HATTON AS WELL?
I think Hatton knows he would lose to De La Hoya, whereas Hatton thought he could beat Mayweather Jr. If Hatton beats Malignaggi and then it would make sense for him to face the winner of Pacquiao vs De La Hoya.Colesy wrote:Missing out on the biggest name in boxing is a mistake. Re: KAYES LEAVES HATTON AS WELL?
Ricky is an amazing fighter and a fan favorite of anyone who loves boxing.
Boxing history has proven with Ali, Ray Robinson, Mickey Walker, Turpin and anyone you can think of that getting vastly out of shape between fights and having to lose in this case 20 pounds a month up to the fight through supplements and diet is so arduous an ordeal, and so dangerous for the body that the reflexes and power will never be the same. Without the timing a fighter gets from sparring they start missing punches in close. It is not a case of 25 week training camps, it is a case of how much damage alcohol, red meat, starches and sugars and the up and down riding the lift weight loss and gain horror does to a fighting machine.
Why risk such a great legacy in the home stretch. If someone is getting that out of shape, it is NOT knowing what your doing, it is guessing that as you get older you will be able to get away with the same abuse to your body as when you were younger. It was his amazing stamina, lungs and heart muscle with determination that got Ricky very far. With his body so changed, taking so many punches in the Mayweather fight that he ought never to have been hit with did damage. He must learn new methods now that he is not what he once was. If you take for example the same old intruction from a fight teacher who fought for only 2 years and fought men with win loss records of 13-18, 13-21, 13-28, 19-29, 11-18, 11-17 and a guy with 19-68 losses, then loses to a man with 17 wins and 20 losses, what they hell can that person teach you?
He did the best job he could and I respect that, but this is a different Ricky now that has to be much better as he has slowed down very much.
Supplements and protein shakes are not going to win this fight.
Hatton won in the past because he was young, aggressive, applied pressure and is a tough guy. He must realize he was knocked out, took too many shots and does not score with real power anymore against class A+ fighters. At his physical state now, with the same assistant to the other chap I believe training him, lets hope he can learn something that trancends amateur instruction and or just repeats up and down massive weight gain and loss which would destroy any athletes ability to be at his best. Was this assistant to the other trainer a fighter himself, how many bouts did he have, lets hope he had a lot and won a lot to pass on the best teachings. I am sure he is a good friend and all that and we all wish him the best. The question is what new things can he bring in to fix the damage from the Mayweather loss and the new weight gain at age 30.
Malignaggi could easily turn out to be someone that he can hardly touch with any punches at all, if he does not prepare well enought THIS TIME,
not the other times, but this time. Using the same methods will mark my words prove a disaster because his body has changed too damn much in the wake of the Mayweather fight. This opponent is the worst one possible to choose. He is too damn fast, and has to be stopped to be beaten, he will never be outpointed.
I hope Ricky stops him, it would be the only way.
