Arthur vs Cook

Post by black panther »

With all the hullabaloo about Khan this decent fight on the undercard has gone relatively unnoticed...admitted its not worthy of a world title - but nonetheless its a decent domestic/euro level clash. I've always liked Arthur - don't fancy his chances against the best at superfeather but he's good value. Can't see Cook winning this as he wasn't a puncher at feather. I fancy Arthur to finish Cook inside ten with body shots. Thoughts?

I think Arthur will grind Cookie down, but by the same token it could well go the other way, with the rumours of Arthur being dry at the weight.

Arthur doesnt seem to have a rep as a puncher but I always noticed guys he fights seem to be pretty bust up at the end of the fight, and with Cook being someone who seems to cut quite easily. On the other hand people mention Arthur's body punching but Cook is a good body puncher too, so it will be inteesting to see how Arthur takes it.

Iv been a staunch Cook supporter and will cheer for him in this fight but I will consider it quite an upset if he does win.

Think Arthur will grind him down eventualy aswell. Cant see it going 12 rounds.

He better be in better shape than he was against Steve Foster cause he looked sloppy at times during that fight.

My understanding was that this is supposed to be the main event. We all know the Khan fight really is and the PPV because of Khan but I think officially Arthur/Cook is the top of the bill. Anyway AAA to win a points decision with Cooks face in a mess.

I'll go with Cook to pull off the upset.
I think he has a lot to prove after being made to look like a one-trick pug against Luevano.

There was a time when I would have made Cook a heavy favourite, but I think his peak passed him by while he was treading water waiting for his move onto world level. Shame, on his way up he looked a very good bet for world honours.
