GHB is a mild form of rohypnol isnt it. Take a little and you're fine, just about overdo it and its night night. I think a coca cola bottle cap full every X hours is the correct dosage... very dangerous stuff. Made form industrial floor cleaner, often used in hospitals, amongst other bizzare ingrediants.

It's dangerous stuff! It's killed a fair few, it slows your heartbeat right down. I had a mate who was carted off to hospital after some

Why not just drink 8-10 pints of Lager or Bitter like we used to in the old days.

It was always about the craddock not the coma back then.

You can get 4/5 on Guzman to beat Nate Campbell on points at Ladbrokes, which looks very generous to me

Those odds are bit poop. I would've expected at least 2/1 for Guzman considering it's his first 135 fight and the stipulation is points. 3/1 sounds bout right.

I for one am happy for Guzman-Campbell & Calderon-Cazares etc to be picked up by Setanta. It's solid world class action and live, without the wait. As long as they keep churning these type of events out then I will keep subscribing; apart from SKY what else is there?

Guzmans developed into a master-pitter-patter puncher (due to dodgy hands) who's won his last 7 fights on points, I think this is a nailed on UD for Guzman (I've lost money on nailed on bets before though)

I agree with regard to his pillow hands, but those odds still favour him massively over the linear champion, espeically when you consider stoppages on cuts.

Campbell is as consistent as soufflé, mind.

I have Guzman as a top 5 P4P boxer in terms of ability, I just hope the 10 month lay-off hasn't done him too much damage

My worry is he isn't a big lightweight and I had Diaz higher than Guzman. However he has a decent reach. I think it's a 50/50 fight.

If it was 3/1 Guzman the decision, I'd be tempted.

Not many would fancy their chances taking on either of these two, and it's a great example of two fighters willing to take on ANYONE, none of the ducking and sidestepping we see so often these days.

Tough fight to call, I'll go Guzman on points.

I stand by my previous remarks

If Guzman was British there would be 25 threads a day on here, laughing at the amount of fights he pulls out of.

As he isnt, he is lauded as a fighter "willing to take on ANYONE"

baffling

Well he has fought top opposition at 130, two top5 fighters in their prime, hes pulled out of:

Harrison - Harrison pulled out 2-3 times already, and would pull out of the date he was supposed to face Guzman on. Guzman probably had problems with weight

Katsidis - dont know why, supposedly hurth is hand, fought Soto whos a top fighter instead

Arthur - reckoned he would still fight on the date after he had problems getting his visa, probably couldnt make weight though?

Campbell - doctors didnt allow him to fight and he was coughing up blood

As a fan Im pretty gutted to be honest, he is/was my current favourate fighter and hes missed this one and may have a lengthy ban, and at 32 that could be the end of what could have been a great career. I really thought he could beat any other lightweight at the moment and thats saying something

Sorry -- late to the party here -- but you're saying (with some justification) that Joan Guzman pulls out of a lot of fights, right? I agree, he does, always has. But what's your point? That the members of this forum are anti-British? Not patriotic enough? Are you retarded? Have you not met Max Molyneux & Fist, two of the most blinkered jingoistic dudes you're likely to come across outside a BNP rally?

The other half of the fight you're bitching about was Nate Campbell, who has fought Peden, Raiymikulov (feck knows the correct spelling, the Kid Diamond fella knocking everyone he fought out years ago), Casamayor & Juan Diaz (just off the top of my head). A guy who's lack of ducking of world class fighters more than makes up for Guzman's avoiding two Scottish strap-holders, as someone else said.

So I ask again... what's your point? You're acting like you've scored some massive point when I for one fail to see exactly where your mighty "Oh God everyone on this forum is boring & stupid" -style trolling is aimed at.

I mean, I know that people like to falsely adopt "controversial" positions on the interwebnet, just so they can play some fricking weird reverse-psychology game -- it's just that what I've seen of yours (doing a Huey Lewis -esque hip to be square routine & praising money men for fleecing the punters) is a bit pointless, really, innit? If you hate us all so much & we're scum & you're so much more insightful, why don't you just fvck off & find someone who will tax your mighty intellect?

Or have I just got the wrong end of the stick & there's something really profound you're illuminating here with your trademark caustic wit?

Guzman is a coulda been.

Anyone making him a P4P superstar is massively over-rating what he has ACTUALLY done.

It was the ability he showed, plus dominating 2 top 5 fighters at 130 isn't far off when you think about too much worse than losing to and beating a shot morales twice (who went 1-4 in his last 5, with his soul win over Manny) and getting a bit of a gift over marquez

Although the WBC are inconsistent sticklers for it, with Castillo case in point, I hope he won't get a year ban because the doctors prevented him from fighting.

However, he probably does deserve it. Especially given the effort his fans made with the storm there.

I still think he could be effective (let's be honest, a year off for Joan is nothing new) for 2 more years, provided his long-term health ain't fcked. Which it probably is.

The doctors only prevented him from fighting because of what he did to himself though. If he had prepared properly or taken a fight at a more appropriate weight, he would not have ended up coughing up blood through dehydration.
