Matthew Hatton vs Scott Woolford
Is this fight still on tonight? be interesting to see what happens because Woolfords fans look like they will cause a riot everytime he gets hit , at least on the few occasions i have seen him fight! Surely Hatton should win this on points.

I feel sorry for Matthew as well. He has Jackie Turpin syndrome.

i think english champ is as far as Matt can go given brook, watson, anderson, jennings etc at the weightTerry D wrote:I for one hope Sky show this fight. I may disagree with a few posters on here about Matt's fight with Watson, plus his current training set-up, but I do think the guy gets some unfair stick because of who his brother is.
He is a decent fighter who works hard and really wants to make a go of things in boxing. Yes, he boxed badly against Watson but he is coming back for another go at things and I hope he does well, although Kell Brook holding the British title makes things doubly hard for Matt.
Give him a chance mate, he is funny, articulate and witty, he would make a fine British or Commonwealth Champion, with that said now is the time for him to really go for things.

I agree he could take a pop at a prizefighter tourney if the welter tourney comes up
the likes of him, anderson etc could make some £££ when they may be unlikely to get to championship level again....
but if Watson can box his ears off for 12 i shudder to think what a Jennings or o'Donnell could do.....

You should write a script for Are You Being Served? with that duzy.Terry D wrote:Jack had it twice as hard as he had Dick and Randy.

I don't understand why you would disagree with his current training set-up. Matt has clearly stated that this was the best training he has had to date and that he has learnt the most compared to other camps where an experienced trainer was involved.Terry D wrote:I may disagree with a few posters on here about Matt's fight with Watson, plus his current training set-up.
How is this possible with such an inexperienced trainer? Maybe because he is more of a student of the game and not a 'know-it-all' kind of trainer...? He studies his fighters and makes them use their attributes and improves on where they are lacking. SO to finish up Matthew looked much better than his last fight with the more experienced trainer in the corner, so I don't believe you can knock what's going on.
