Pretty sure they can't do that because no one failed a drug test and the cards were added up correctly...

Dibb will just drop the IBO and follow whatever path GBP takes him on...

Wouldnt you think hed have to rematch him if they went through all the trouble to get the IBO to re-score it?

Well no-one can hold a gun to Dib's head and force him to take it! He would just lose the title if he did so which seems even weirder after he went to all the trouble of working his arse off for it - if he doesn't want to rematch Zolani he will forfeit the title and that is all there is to it

Would Marali fight for the vacant title? Who would be a likely opponent?

Well I think Zolani would be entitled to be in one corner. He would have to face someone who is rated high enough to put him inside the Top-35 if he won. I'd love to see Kickett in the other corner to be honest

Hi JSA I would say that Golden Gloves would promote the vacant title and they would fly in nuetral officials from the US and Europe IF it comes to that

IBO orders rematch with Dib

The IBO championships Committee has ruled in favor of Zolani Marali and ordered IBO super featherweight champion Billy Dib to face Marali again within ninety days with all officials to be appointed by the IBO from Europe and the United States. A formal protest and appeal was filed on behalf of Marali with regard to the unanimous decision in favor of Dib in a controversial July 30 fight at Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. As part of a lengthy and intensive review, a panel of three senior IBO officials independently scored the fight, and ruled in favor of Marali.
Thats good to see, Hopefully Billy can do less showboating and really fight this time. He definently has the skills to beat him if they fight again. Dib was doing good early. If Dib dosnt fight him again it would be good for Kickett to take the fight as he needs more good opposition if he wants to keep improving.

The paper was reporting this morning that Dib will drop the IBO and take the fight for the WBO...

Pretty much what I thought would happen.

So with this decision by the IBO are they alleging that the officials for the Dib V Marali fight were incompetent or dishonest?

I know who is likely to be fighting in the other corner but I will wait for it to be released. I have mail that Billy might not get the fight for the WBO title either but that is a wait and see....

What happens here Monty do the officials get the arse or do they get a warning, Its obvious they were incompetant and unable to score correctly.

Hi Ben
I have spoken with Ed and all officials will be used again. The Thais probably not in tandem on a card. The overall view was a two-point win for Zolani and it was a difficult fight to score
