You have to teach him to ease his way into a fight.
Amir is a better boxer than he is a puncher, even Gomez said he couldn't hit.
His team have to accept some responsibilty here.
Amir is a young guy and may think he knows it all,but he doesn't.
You need some wise heads working on his gameplan.

Amir will be back,he has just learned a very important lesson... the hard way.

Should of learnt to walk before he ran, the hype, bookdeals and the money he was getting was disgusting considering he's only on domestic level.

What would bother me is if it was all going to his head and his ego was becoming so inflated that his personal performance was put in jeopardy.
The British fans would know better than I do because you see him on tv and in your newspapers.
Does the guy have a big ego ?
Or should I say, has he got a big ego since breaking through onto the world stage ?

No question it's a crushing defeat for Amir.
But it's one of those things, shit happens sometimes and he has to bounce back.
He is young enough to regroup and make his way back no question about it.
I'm not going to shit on the fella, his pride is probably more hurt than any of his physical features at this point.

They should train Amir Khan as a " boxer " and not a puncher, you can hype him as you like for financial purposes.
But he is a boxer period, so they should steer clear of trying to turn him into something he isn't.
Put it down to an early wake up call if you like.
The kid has ability that's clear to see,but in a day and age of quick money there is a tendency to go for it.
Go for it if you are sure, but if there are doubts then hold back some in reserve.

It's a hit against British boxing for no doubt.
But there's more than enough bulldog spirit in them isles to weather this minor storm.

Hey respect Riddick, he really went out on a limb and predicted an unknown puncher to beat a guy with a chin weakness.

Lol, and I saw SO MANY people doing the same.

Maybe you should read the predictions thread again.

Warren has a contract on a better prospect, as of tonight. It was particularly good acting though, I'll give him that. Remember that 'how to act' workshop programme with Michael Caine? That could easily have been fronted by Allegedly.

Edit: There's Emma now!

Riddick you seriously need to get over yourself, and your obsession with Amir Khan. If Prescott had been as crap as many of us expected (although NOBODY here really knew much about him) and lost, you'd have used that as a little get-out. And yet even now you're trying to cover yourself even further by saying Prescott is indeed the roadsweeper some anticipated. He is clearly better than that.

Do us a favour and stop performing, it's getting really tedious.

No favouritism towards Brook, then, Emma? I'm probably the same with Shane Mosley. (Er, in a manly-masculine way, like!)

Evander: Amir doesn't seem arrogant to me, but he's definitely been brainwashed. Most UK posters have wanted to see him travel over the past year or more. There's been a lot of talk about potential Mexican opposition on US undercards.

The Khan Ko and Zelenoff fights are the best boxing moments of 2008. :TU:
