Re: Khan spoiler
Well, im not sure if Ramadan and fasting had anything to do with it, but i really think Khan should have re-arranged the fight to a more appropriate time, it's not like Ramadan came all of a sudden, he should have known.
I guess the real test or Khan is now, and how he bounces back. Most fail after their first loss, Khan has to do some real thinking

Re: Khan spoiler
not seen hardly anything of Khan but watched this on youtube and my comments would be
1)seemed to get hit by everything the Columbian threw
2)was rocked by a jab.
3)was KOd in thte most brutal of fashions. The KD was where it was over and the ref should be shot for allowing him to continue.
As i have read with interest others commenting over the years about the guy and after seeing this i feel the guy has no chance EVER of progressing.
A sad and brutal reality check. Showed heart trying to get up.Will be interesting to see how he comes back. I would suggest despite my previous comment that if Mundine has managed to "recover" from the KO vs feather fist Ottke in terms of his career(albeit it one stagnated with tomato cans)then perhaps Khan can make it. Better stay on the backfoot, learn to run and stay at home for the rest of his career tho.
hang the ref and thank goodness that punch the guy threw when Khan was going down 2nd time round missed.that had venom and coulda caused major problems for the lad.i say again-hang the ref and hang him high.

Mate, its fair enough being a Khan fan and having the opinion that he was going to do well, but are you ever going to accept that Khan just wasn't the goods from day 1 and never will be???

I thought the ref got it right.
If he'd stopped the fight after the first knockdown the Khan camp would have said it was too early and used this as an excuse for the defeat!

Re: Khan spoiler
That Khan forum really illustrates how the "casual" boxing fan can be quite easily duped by boxing politics and broo ha ha.
Only read the first page regarding Khan's loss, but so far we've had "i read prescott was a brilliat fighter" and "That punch of Prescott had extreme punching power in it. Every other boxer would get knocked out."

"They rushed Amir too quickly"
Hi Amirsfans,
Critism of Amir Khan will not be accepted. This is the Amir Khan official fans site, a place where we can support Amir, follow his progress and keep each other updated with his career ect. This is not a hate site, and negative comments towards Amir Khan or the Khan Team will not be tolerated!

I hardly think you are the best person to start saying that people should take into account possible interpretations of others posts.
Re: Khan spoiler
i am ashamed to say i bought the ppv, but delighted to say it was worth every penny. i am absolutely delighted, the ppv was a terrible exploitation of the masses, typical warren attitude to pass the buck, but im delighted for prescott, these columbians know what a hard life is, i hope the pounds give his family some security and decency.
i was screaming at the tv, i could not believe what i was watching, have not taken so much pleasure oot of someones demise since sprotty laid out audley. some fighters seem to try and get themselves built up bigger than the sport, i heard a rumour that team khan's financial demands were too high for itv to handle, i am absolutely delighted. dont start calling yourself the potentially best in the world when you have not proved your credentials as the best in britain.
it is a shame for khan, i dont thing he is a bad person, just badly advised and managed. unfortunately peoples distain for warren meant that they wanted khan to fall. khan is no naseem hamed, wow.....it was fantastic, im still buzzing now.

Re: Khan spoiler
I'm suprised the Sky Sports Studio were so 'stunned' by Khan being KO'd..
If was fairly obvious that Khan is not capable of taking a shot - and the moment he fought someone who could dig, he'd get floored for 10..
If he fights at a higher level again (relative to most his opponents - he'll get stopped again.

Re: Khan spoiler
Khan's career will probably get back on track, and I'll tell you why - just wait for the inevitable excuses!
Khan's KO will only have resulted from one of the following:
(a) He was weight drained - this will never happen again!
(b) The new trainer was a joke, he takes full responsibility, and Khan would never have lost otherwise!
(c) He slipped!
In some ways the fact it was a shock knockout aworks in Khan's favour, because it can also be explained away as being lucky (e.g. Hasim Rachman and Lennox Lewis). However, had Prescott simple dealt out a sustained beating over the course of the fight, and Amir was very clearly not up to it - he'd have no where to go would he.
Khan will be back, fighting some useless fighter, who he'll knock out in a round, and then FW & Co will be going hell for leather trying to put all this into distant memory.
Remember Haye v Thompson???? Look at Haye now.....
