If it was 6 quid like a footie game I would defo order it (what s the diff you get 2 hrs all in entetainment to watch that and lets face it this will be about the same with the undercard and all), its not the money its more the feeling you are being short changed so nah wont be sitting up for this one Im afraid. All this on top of the 45 quid a month you already pay to me takes the piss they can shove it.

I don't want to buy it either, i'd feel like i was giving Sky permission to take the piss out of me for ever more. But i can feel myself weakening.
I really want to be able to watch it without knowing the result. If i knew when it would be shown for free it would help. I can avoid boxing websites and the sports section of the news for a few days...
Well what about Sky charging us £30 a month for fights like Arthur's last one, or the endless WBU bollocks we have to put up with - advertised as world title fights no less.
The American equivalent of Sky is HBO. Imagine them promoting a WBU fight? Not a chance in hell. They wont even mention WBO, let alone WBU.

Yes I'm watching it on ZDF and it's free. That's around 1.40am UK time - which is a helluva long wait for the opening bell, considering there's hardly an undercard here. Think I might tape it.
Since HBO starts their broadcast at 03:30 CET it probably be on until at least 4am.
When does the ZDF broadcast start? Scandinavian live broadcast starts at 01:30 CET on TV1000 (almost free channel if you anything about sat codes) and they will show some of the undercard, at least the Kaddour & Bidenko fight maybe other.
I think it's a fair point that Mighy Warrior makes about there next time perhaps not being a choice about seeing some big fights. However, what I don't understand is that Sky showed other big international bouts free earlier this year (eg Morales-Chavez) so why not this one? And anyway, and this really annoys me, based on past experience the chances are within 7-14 days the bout will be shown gratis. Having said that I think I get ZDF and I'm on nights anyway so I suppose its academic!

Sky have got a nice deal going with Bob Arum, they show virtualy all his fights on normal broadcast - Mayweather, Oscar, Morales - we're getting the fight of the year in a few weeks: Marquez/PacMan ( Cotto/N'Dou on the undercard ).
They tend to avoid King shows generaly, but occasionaly we'll get one or two of the bigs ones. Tonights is promoted by the brothers - K2 promotions, and they must have driven a hard bargain for it to be PPV.

On german TV you could see that Sdunek and the interviewer was happy they won THE world championship, I dont think they rate WBO that high (Unless Kohl is near them ofcourse).

This is the FIRST PPV I've not paid for, mainly out of principle. It was really annoying me during the SKY Skelton V Sprott fight how they were hyping the Klit - Saunders fight up so much. All this "Dawning of a new Era" and "It's going to be a great great fight" etc etc
Dempsey and Smith were the worst offenders (as usual) they really seem to suck up to their bosses at SKY sometimes. Ok I suppose they are just doing there job but to me the Klit - Saunders fight is no more historical that Joh Tate V Gerrie Coetzee in 1979.. I like my Boxing presenters to be passionate about the sport but lets keep thing in perspective.
Anyway I spent my PPV money this moring in a sale on a Snow Patrol CD and Casino on DVD.
As a PPV I quite enjoyed it. I hate it when Sky have to fill a 6 hour slot with the stuff on Saturday fight night - and I would have been especially angered if they were going to show Skelton vs Sprott. I would have liked maybe a longer show, with other world class action (i.e. the Spinks vs Judah bill etc). However, in some ways I am glad it didn't drag on. I want to pay for world class action, domestic class I expect for nothing.
However, I hope this is not the start of things to come (like in America the PPV's are short).
