Re: Amir Khan interview on SSN
Number 7 was a laugh-a-minute! :P
The others were to be expected of someone who has big dreams & have just seen them go up in smoke.
I think Khan can come back, but he's going to have radically alter his lifestyle & fighting style.
He's got to cut out the minor celebirty crap & concentrate 100% on boxing.
He's go to use his natural physical attriubutes (ie long arms & blistering speed) & become more of a 'boxer' type & stop trying to KO everybody.

Come on be realistic I dont think hes career is over. He took a gamble ( which you all wanted) and lost. Hes young he can come back from this. obviously he'll have to be matched carefully but to say his career is over is a bit over the top. HOWEVER I do think he'll begin to fade into the background and Ive said this before BUT I think Kell will overtake him and be Britians best prospect/champion etc.
Re: khan ko on youtube
Youtube is full of racist idiots. I think they should ban the comments box alltogether. This is one of the worst Videos of Khan fight and the most shocking

Why hasn't allegedly/Youtube staff removed these type of videos don't they work on a fornicating Sunday. I hope they are busy tomorrow. If not give me a job.

Hopefuly all the hype will stop now he's been exposed.
Re: Khans career is not over!
Took a gamble? Rubbish!
They (SN) had no idea.
They couldn't put Khan in with a known quantity on the domestic scene (let alone world scene) without a significant risk involved, so to justify the PPV (in their minds) they found some unknown, undefeated fall guy recommended by Khan's trainer!
Prescott didn't read the script. Reap the whirlwind Warren.

Kell will be exposed soon enough as well. He gets hit way too much for a top line prospect.emma wrote:Come on be realistic I dont think hes career is over. Kell's chin is a bit suspect too, although he may have enough to get over McIntyre and actually become British champion.Gray-Fox wrote:Kell will be exposed soon enough as well. Re: Khans career is not over!
this was a horrible loss for amir...it will be hard for him to bounce back from that brutal KO.
he was a brave SOB though, got up from the first knockdown and had a good go at getting up from the second knockdown.

to be fair, lennox lewis was brutally KO'd early by mccall and rahman, yet lennox is still considered one of the best heavyweights ever.

Jim, you could pick holes in every heavyweights record.
As for Amir, I haven't seen it yet - If FW had said he gets knocked out I'm might have purchased it!
However, he's always fought the wrong style. Too aggressive, too wild, too wide open. And he's barely improved.
I didn't think Prescott was quick enough to land his big shots - which just shows, I presume, how naive Khan remains after 18 patsy fights.
Would the odd Alan Bosworth after half a dozen fights have taught him more than the imported featherweight muggles did?

Re: Amir Khan interview on SSN
I've lost what little respect I had for Amir after his loss. There's been interesting reactions by fighters. Especially one from internally.
Perhaps Amir isn't as well liked within the FW stable as we thought.

Ive noticed that people mentioned about him needing to change his lifestyle? What does he eaxctly do that may affect his career?

As always be can all be retrospective experts on every aspect of his career, but lest we forget why he was so eager to turn over. Because he got dumped on his arse by, was it Craig Watson? As an am.
I've just watched it on the net - and the errors he made were fundamentals. Just dropped his hands, in range before throwing.

Yeah, Watson dropped him in the Ams. Haven't seen it, but I've been told it was hard.
Maybe someone here knows more?

I was actually thinking yesterday that Kevin Mitchell should get a bit more of a promotional push now.Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:I've lost what little respect I had for Amir after his loss. There's been interesting reactions by fighters. Especially one from internally.

OK, he isn't top world class and he can be cocky, but he's coming off two hard fought and very entertaining fights (last one against a Colombian

The Watson knock down is available on youtube. He got hit hard and went bandy legged but he did get up from it and carried on punching.

And the irony of putting "white power" at the end of the video, obviously the dumb racist inbreds forgot that Khan was KO'd by a black guy.

He's a bit of a minor celebrity in Northwest England.BAMBI wrote:Ive noticed that people mentioned about him needing to change his lifestyle? What does he eaxctly do that may affect his career?
He makes guest start appearances at various functions & to be fair to him, he does a lot of charity work etc.
Maybe he needs to go down the Joe Calzaghe road & focus solely on boxing?

Khan should have been thrown out for this infringement last time out?Terry D wrote:To be fair Khan has hit a few guys when they are on their way down. You punch until the ref tells you to stop punching.
Did it twice and landed flush in the same round if I recall.
