Hatton Opponent - My Guess

Post by Twinkle Toes »

As you know, Hatton is away on a small break to Eurodisney, and the delay in naming his next opponent is because of him not back from there yet.

Anyway, my guess for his next opponent is:

Mickey Mouse

It makes perfect sense, I bet hatton has been to Eurodisney sizing him up + I am sure Mickey would love his belt back ;)

Let's get it on!!

Hatton is gonna hot 30 still making defences of his WBU title with Warren claiming so and so have priced themselves out?

Why are manchester boxing fans so stupid, they should protest the next Hatton opponent(assuming its another lightweight) by STAYING AWAY!

HATTON OPPONENT COMING SOON
allegedly is hopeful of naming Ricky Hatton's June 5 opponent in the next few days.

An announcement was due earlier this week, but has been delayed because the Hitman is on holiday with his family at Eurodisney.

"Ricky is back tomorrow, and once he has looked at a few tapes then we will make a decision," said Warren.

Hatton defends his WBU light-welterweight title at the MEN Arena on June 5, with Joe Calzaghe challenging Glencoffe Johnson for the IBF light-heavyweight crown.

once he's looked at a few tapes :x

so its true he is picking his foes  he probably gets a tape of his proposed opponents and picks the guy who looks the easiest to beat.

I must make a point here,Ricky is a nice guy and a good fighter no doubt,he gets in and does his Job u cant fault him.

His promoters are the ones who are stopping his carrer moving, but the question is where else can he go?
If Ricky got beat in a top fight so what, let him mix it with the top guys,Bruno ,how many world title chances?,loved by millions,he always did his best and thats why the pblic loved him.The public will turn against ricky because of his promoters.

Guru I understand what you are saying about Ricky being a nice guy and I haven't any personal agenda against him but the facts are that he needs to step up the quality of his opposition and it's not good enougth to just put the blame on the promoter, Ricky is a big boy now it's up to him to say who he wants to fight... if he insisted for instance on fighting Witter what could FW do.... Micheal Brodies camp tried to talk him out of a rematch with Chi but he insisted... ok he lost, but at least he knows that he lost to one of the best in the world and I know that he hasn't lost any of the respect of the fans.... Ricky however is losing many fans respect and it may be something he regrets in the future....
At the end of the day what is frustrating the fans so much is Ricky is not testing his talent to it's fullest and not giving the fans the high quality fights they deserve!........
