Choi Tseveenpurev

Post by whicker »

Choi Tseveenpurev , any news on when he fights next? Surely, given his, age, time must be against him? I know he is the "president of the who needs him" club, to quote that rather daft phrase they used on ITV, but still- surely them must be someone who fancies a crack at the WBU belt?

He has been the (according to Boxrec's ratings) best Featherweight in Britain, but guys like Paul Truscott would be interesting opponents.

I have no idea of the circumstances but it's a disgrace that his win over Derry Mathews hasn't been built on.

I think Warren has stakes in him now after the Matthews win. I was expecting him to appear on a SN undercard as some point but it hasn't happened.

I can think of one allegedly fighter who would benefit from sparring with him.

Yes, it is rediculous - looking at the official ratings - he is unranked by the WBO... Matthews is ranked 6.

He is ranked by the WBA 7.... a good fight for him would be #3 ranked Cristobal Cruz... he'd stand a good chance with him there.

But he'll get a world title fight... at 9 stone 4 if he is with Mr W.

Yes, I wonder how the WBO can justify rating Matthews but not Choi!

However, there may be yet be a happy ending...Given FW's alleged chumminess with the WBO, and given that Choi has just signed with FW, maybe Choi will suddenly be WBO rated next month!!
