Danny Thornton...help needed

Leeds man Danny Thornton fights Plymouth puncher Scott Dann for the vacant English middleweight title on the Audley Harrison show at Bristol on May 8. Don't know much about Thornton. He's won three in a row, over modest opposition, since Kreshnick Qato outpointed him in a six-rounder last May, and has spent much of his career at light-middle.
Does anyone know his style, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

He loves to fight and hates to box,if scott boxes him he will have no problem.Thornton can do 10 rounds easily last round looks like the first.

Scott in < 6 is all you need to know. You can take that to the bank. Or the bridge, if you happen to be the Godfather of Soul.

Isn't regional bias a wonderful thing?

Anyone know whats happening with Toks Owoh, he's down to fight on the undercard, but I thought he'd retired?

"In a true ‘no quarter asked’ fight, Leeds’ Central Area middleweight champion Danny Thornton beat Sheffield’s Mo on points over six-twos. The referee scored it 59-56. In a year’s time, this would make a good rematch. Mo, just over 11st 6lb, took this fight at short notice after the Peacock’s Tomas Da Silva scratched (he boxed in Sheffield the previous Friday). He was outweighed by six pounds and was only having his fifth fight, whereas this was Thornton’s twenty-sixth.
Thornton did the better work for most of the fight and also showed his experience as he lured Mo into occasional traps. He also held and hit quite often, which the referee didn’t seem to take very seriously. As the scorecard shows, Thornton did not have it all his own way I had Mo sharing the first and winning the fourth, in which he got through with a succession of left hooks at the start of the session. A fair result though."

Hardly the stylistic analysis you'll be looking for but it's all I have on him. As you can tell, I wasn't overly impressed.

At the moment, no I'm not. Last game of the season and all, so I shall be straight in the boozer afterwards to celebrate winning the championship/drown my sorrows. Boxing is the dogs and all, but we have to keep our priorities in order eh?

If we get everything wrapped up on Saturday, or the week after, I will run around and get tickets.
