I couldn't resist. Bought it at the last minute.

Missed the first fight.

Matt Power was getting dominated by this Turkish fighter. Hurt his leg. Went back and fought a round, his leg was perfect. At end of the round said he was to bad to fight. Dogged it, Paul Briggs exact words.

Briggs is commentating well.

Mirovic just entered.

Hoppas power dominated the entire fight. Bib Bob was ageing, but take nothing away from Hoppa. Hes the new Australian heavyweight champion with a 9th round KO.

He landed some vicious shots all throughout the fight.

I think hes our best HW. Easy.

Shit the streaker was funny - I wasn't really paying attention, but was Hoppa's corner taking a few swings at him at the end??

Good HW punchup just there :box:

You must be kidding, Mirovic looked shocking and aged. Hoppa is very very ordinary. Mark DeMori would take him to school, Briggs could land his jab all night on him. Soloman Haumono would KO him.

Kickett went down in the 3rd or 4th round from a hard shot but dominated the entire fight. He went down hard but recovered very quickly.
He won every round and even got a share of the round he got knocked down as he was dominant in that round also.

Yeah was a big shot that tagged him good, He showed great composure though and was straight back into the fight. Will do him good IMO as he has a tendency to hold his hands to low and this might remind him to keep them up.

How would Solo KO him? Honestly.

Solo went after 2 rounds. Hoppa lasts the two and makes a mess of Solo.

Really how can we say he isnt our best Heavyweight? Mirovic stopped Wilson. Briggs beat Wilson on Points. And Hoppa stopped Mirovic.

I think Hoppa is really under rated. Hes got a good stiff left jab and his punching power well its top rate now.

Ben. I have never rated Hoppa and find the result very surprising. But based on what you saw tonight (I didnt see it) could he last against Briggs...or even Wilson. I saw these two in a war on Friday and thought it would be great to see Hoppa or Solo in a good fight. Did Hoppa get hit ?? How did he take it?? I hope Bob made some money out of tonight. He's een a legend.

,

IMO the boxing public are talking up both Kickett and Dib a little to much. I have only seen Dib's last couple of fights and have seen nothing to suggest he's a world beater. I have followed Kickett since he came on the scene and seen him live in WA many times. He has massive flaws. Neither is ready to take on the worlds elite (IMO). Both need to tighten up defensively.. I would love to see them go all the way. I believe Kickett is the better prospect if managed correctly. I think we all saw what can happen to Dib in his last fight.

Sort of like how you viewed the St Clair fight or for real this time? For some reason I can't help think Amir Khan...

Willie's knockdown was surprisingly ruled a trip by the ref and no count was applied and the judges still gave every round to Willie. Just between you and me and the deep blue sea, Willie was on the way down and the slight trip ensured it. But he was a clear winner over a game visitor but his defense needs a bit of extra work as he got tagged a bit.

I must take my hat off to Hoppa for his effort and stamina. At times he didn't want to be there but Big Bob was so stuffed he couldn't take any advantage. It was a very messy fight, with Big Bob constantly holding, putting on a rope a dope performance. After Big Bob broke his hand around round 7, it was the beginning of the end and Hoppa used what condition he had left to pummel Big Bob. As for Big Bob, there is nothing left in the tank and he needs to rejoin the workforce and hang up the gloves.

As for the Matt Powell bout, this was a disgrace. A brawling shambles and Matt pulled a heart muscle, after being hit low and later tried to con the official that a repeat had happened. He just didn't want to be there last night.
