Who actually bet on prescott?

Post by emma »

I know some of you enjoy a bet but I was wondering how many of you put money on prescott last saturday? My boyfriend did although he was going to bet on khan but I told him to put a £10 on each. :TU:

I didn't bet on the fight, but a mate of mine bet on Prescott winning in the first 3 rounds at 14/1

Did your b/f really put that bet on based on your advice, or did he just say he did in order to keep you quiet? Not a lot of guys who I know that would change a bet based on their g/fs or wifes advice.

I put £20 on round 1 at 80/1 and another £150 or so on the opening few rounds for Prescott. biggest boxing win of my life, surpassing the golden £1000 night of Enzo KO1 Gunn!

Fiver on each of the first five rounds at 125/1 and another bet on Prescott to win by KO over the course of the fight at 10/1.

One of the posters had £10 on Khan to get knocked out in round one at a decent price, can't remember which.

Gutted I never bet on this fight - bet against Khan plenty of times thinking he would get knocked out i.e. Earl (not even close lol) and Gomez. Stayed away from this because I just expected it to be a walk in the park for him!

This obviously isn't your responsibility at all but i WISH you had told me you were laying at that. Even after the Graham Earl burning i woulda laid at least a 20 on KO1.

Shame onme for not following the odds, a killer bet like that will never come up again.

I'm going to cut you with a carpet-fitters knife.

Wales,
89-1 was for both to win inside the distance, so assume you blew it, like me ?!

won 405 quid (minus 25 on rounds 2-6) from a fiver at 80-1. am seriously thinking about slapping the lot on a malignaggi stoppage win...if the price is right.

Yep, cookie couldnt get the stoppage. dont think I got 89-1 either. Put the bet on Saturday night with ladbrookes, think it came in lower than 89's with a probable late flurry on prescott.

I had a tenner on Prescott to win at 7/1. Not as big a wager as some of you lot, but it paid for my night out. :TU:

I don't give tips any more since I told my sister to get £100 on Earl beating Khan!
Anyway, we talked about this at length on facebook chat, that was as good as a tip! Shame on you! It's also not the first time you've rued a missed bet. get on oddschecker more often.

We did have a convo yes, but that was yonks before the fight actually took place. And its dangerous when i keep up to date with odds.

This is gonna hurt for a long time.

The lesson is, always gamble on competitive sports.

I think it will be a while before a golden chance like this comes along again, but it will come along. It happened with Jones/Johnson (rounds for Johnson 100/1), Calzaghe/Salem (5/1 for a dead cert UD) Macc/Gunn (5/1 pretty cert KO1) and soooo many others. I'm sure I would have swooped on Hopkins/trinidad too if I'd been a boxing fan at that time.

I think Mallinaggi to beat Hatton is a golden opportunity and is IMHO likely to happen.

Yes because he was only gonna bet on khan and I said 'put a £10 on both then you cant really lose' :D
