Not sure what happened but Terry Smith handled the rankings and I kept asking who he was just to get an idea on how he compiled the junior and cadet rankings. I really like the efforts. I then found out who he was as his name came up in a couple of posts due to his involvement in Beijing. I'm not sure if he just handles that part of the site. It does seem odd that given the amount of information that was on there and the effort to get all of that online - that it would just disappear like that. I just pm'd the webmaster on this forum. I'll let you know what he says.

Luke,
There is more than one Terry Smith in the world. In fact there is a R/J from England named Terry Smith and he is not the same Smith who is chairman of the AIBA R/J commission.

Not Luke, but thanks for clarification, Jim. I thought it that it wasn't a coincicedence that this "Terry Smith" who was doing the ranking on ABA's site was also from the UK. It is a common name, but I thought it was the same guy. Oops.

I provided the Junior and cadet rankings for ABA boxing but I have no idea what happened to the site.
I sent them my August lists but it wasnt shown and I received no response.
I still maintain my rankings, which include world senior, on a monthly basis but I have no outlet.

Can't you just start a thread on this site and post them?

I always enjoyed reading the rankings. I always take all amateur boxing rankings with a grain of salt, but it can be an entertaining read. It opens up the topic to discussion. Getting people to talk about amateur boxing is a good thing.

Darrem Stead is the founder and webmaster of the page. I am sure that it's not the same Terry Smith (chairman of R/J comission) that you mentioned, who helped for Rankings. During Beijing Games i spoke with AIBA PR and media manager Richard Baker and he told me that in near future they will introduce official AIBA rankings. They were impressed by Darren's ranks and also by Janusz Majcher's results page (http://amateur-boxing.strefa.pl/)
