I can't stand watching Dirrell fight. His effort against Stevens is one of the worst I have ever seen. I really hope Victor can land the big one but Dirrell will no doubt give Bolt a run for his money in this fight...

Dirrell by a terrible KO. Oganov is just a built up fighter, nothing more or less.

Dirrell is still a cat though, no way he will want to get hit... I say he runs the distance...

Stevens is a much better puncher, IMO, than Oganov. Maybe it was the nerves of a big fight for Dirrell and I to was disappointed in his performance in that fight. What he did to Hanshaw made a BIG statement however. I think Oganov is to slow with his hands and feet. His power I also feel is over-rated.

armageto, from personal experience sparring Oganov, his power is far from overrated, its sickening just thinking bout what he'd do with 10oz.

Saw a replay of this fight last week. Does anyone at all agree with me that this fight looks fixed?

Oganov has every chance to hit a very open Dirrell, and refuses to. Look closely, every round, every punch: they are either so ridiculously off target as to defy belief, or they are pulled, like a stuntman might do. Oganov is able to show moxie by pressing, but watch how he does it - purely defensively, gloves over face, without then attacking when he has countless opportunities. Unlike any other fight I've seen him in.

Because Dirrell is frankly not that good, Oganov gets his openings and either does nothing or intentionally misses. Unless both of his hands were hurt, I have never seen such a weird strategy employed by any fighter, especially one who supposedly has a keen knockout punch. Dirrell, meanwhile is able to have target practice on Oganov, but doesn't have enough power to do anything. Obamov's other victories, albeit against lesser fighters don't show this kind of doomed-to-fail strategy. He ALLOWS himself to be hit by merely walking in, without any defense, nor any offense of his own, which we've seen that he has. I can't believe that the announcers credit Dirrell when he was shooting fish in a barrel, and worse, giving credit to Oganov for "being game," It's ludicrous. Watch this fight with this perspective in mind, and it's obvious - watch those "punches" from Ogamov - not a SINGLE punch is loaded to do any hurt.

Contrast this, against for example Oganov vs. Richard Grant - Oganov's punches are accurate short and powerful against an opponent who was harder to hit.

It so reminds me of the scene in "Raging Bull" where LaMotta is supposed to take a dive but his opponent isn't even good enough to win against an opponent who's trying to get hit often and lose. That's the look on Oganov's face after the fight.

One man's opinion, and if you watch, you'll feel in your gut that I might have a point.

I hadn't seen Organov fight before this fight so i can't really agree, disagree, but what would Organov have to gain from taking a dive?

Love the Raging Bull movie.

As i said the Dirrell fight was the first I'd seen of him, I'd heard of his power, got it recorded and watched it again. I can't make that assumption because it was probally his best opposition up until then, i honestly cant tell.
