Nice research. So Cammarelle has won his last 29 or so fights in a row, and is world amateur and Olympic gold champion at super heavyweights, with only one stoppage loss ( S. Ibragimov ) in many fights as an amateur

I think he would make a fine professional. Good enough to win one of the 4 major world title belts before he retires. Leave it up to boxing to disappoint. Word is Cammarelle is leaning toward staying an amateur. I hope a promoter makes him an offer he cannot refuse. Boxing needs young talent at heavyweight.

I think it's awesome Roberto is staying amateur. Much better for the amateur system and then we'll actually probably have a defending Gold Medalist in London.

It seems as though Cammarelle didn't beat any of the top quality professionals in the amateurs.

nice research. I hope he goes pro. he is a big enough southpaw with some seriously fast hands and pop. Definitely could make noise at the least.

He has said he won't go pro, but even if he did, Povetkin is his crux.

He will not turn pro. It's sure. Venceremos, I'm checking the record. I'll let you know (I have 152-23 in 175 bouts). I know him very well. It's curious because I am trying to compile records of active Cuban boxers and you compile Cammarelle's record. Great research!!! :TU:

Not every man :TU:

Isn't Cammarelle a proud cop from a well off family?

Would be nice to see him turn over, but I must admit there is something special about guys who have the ability to make inroads in the pro's yet refuse to leave the Amateurs.
Gold Medals still mean a great deal

Good luck to him if he stays Am.
