Dear Colin -- Good job on the Venues -- one correction though -- the Dexter Park Arena was in Richmond Hill, NY
Sometimes the NY Times incorrectly puts this Arena in Brooklyn, other times they get the correct location in Richmond Hill.
I believe the errors simply came from reporters travelling out to the arena by subway and not knowing where they were!
By the way NO PRIOR record book correctly locates this arena, so this is new stuff.

Dexter Park -- Colin
Dexter Park was located in "Woodhaven,Queens"
just west of Richmond Hill and very close to the border line between Queens & Brooklyn.
I know this for a fact, since I grew up in the area and I attended many baseball games there in the mid 1940's. Dexter Park was primarly a baseball field, but it did include a hotel, dance hall, bowling alleys at one time.

I guess we are going to ferret out the exact street address for Dexter park to resolve this one -- but certainly it was in Queens not Brooklyn.
The fights were held in the ballpark, outdoors, so the season was affected by rain-outs and bad weather.
I was a cop in a prior life and recall being stationed out Brooklyn -- and the other side of the street was Queens, so I can undersatnd how these old-time reporters were confused.
