I must admit, i have found a lot of you to be hypocritical on here. Knocking him for fighting bums. Then when the guy is apparently (Its boxing - apparently), going to the US, were still putting him down.

Couldnt care less if he fights in the states or here. As long as its a credible opponent.

What do you mean by think diffrent of him, I think he is a very talented boxer and have always said that. I dont agree with his chioce of oppoents a lot of the time but he is still very talented.

your defense of him is growing weak I'm afraid. Credit will be paid...when it is due. He has beaten the faith out of most of us. Schedules mean nothing. Actions only will count.

Sorry to bring this back on topic (arf!) but I've never seen Dib. What's he like? Looking at his record, the Contreras win's a good one for an up'n'comer, but how much did Carlos have left?

I've seen Luevano live (against Nicky Cook) & while he isn't truly elite level he's deffo world class, very slick & a good southpaw counter puncher (nice straight left to head or body, especially on the counter). A really strong swarmer would give him trouble or a guy who can crack will take him (unsure of his durability, he looks somewhat fragile at times) but I can't see him losing to a guy who boxes off the back foot; he's very tricky & mentally tough; Cook just didn't know enough to get him out of his groove. I saw highlights of his fight with the Thai, Jandaeng, & TJ was simply too crude to get to him.

Do you guys fancy Dib for this one? What's his style like?

PS: (Sorry for the long post, just seems an intriguing fight) Also, what's the score with the African dude from Dib's last fight lodging a protest? Whining over the decision or what?

dibs last fight against marali was one of his toughest (i actually had marali by 2 rounds)...

something tells me though this ones gonna be even tougher...billy was blowing hard from about 6 rounds onwards last time out, so i hope hes doing ALOT of sparring in preperation for this one

The IBO ordered a re-match within 90 days about which Team Dib were less than enthusiastic of taking. Golden Gloves were prepared to offer $50,000 US but dib decided to drop down and face Luevano. I have not seen Luevano fight but being an expat-Englishman I follow the English scene and would say if David stopped Nicky Cook then Dib would have it all to do in this fight - it won't be easy for him for sure and good on him for taking the fight

Cheers for the info, mate! Unless Zolani is one bad dude, then based on that performance I don't see much chance of Billy unseating Luevano.

But that's why they fight, innit?
