from the CBZ, Ricky had the chance to develop KO certainty without interfering with his OWN style... I fear he might have chose the wrong man!
Hi gentleman and you both bring up some great points which were gleaned from your close and expert observations. I have seen many one shot KO's in various weight divisions since the inception of these televised MMA bouts.
Even their best strikers from the past with above average hand speed, Belfort for example, were very careless and sloppy in their delivery at times.
Chuck was iced by Jackson and now Evans with basically one shot.
The movement employed by Evans offset Chuck as a puncher who needs to set himself like he did when he cornered Ortiz and rained on him.
Does Chuck have one shot power, yes, on the move no. He leaves himself wide open in exchanges hoping his right hand will stun the opponent so badly that he can choose the finishing method minus defense and finess.
The perfect method must be found to apply to each INDIVIDUAL opponent to set them up. One of the best KO's ever over a great fighter was when Julian Jackson nailed Terry Norris and then the formula applied to Jackson when McClellan got him the first and second times.
I teach lightning strikes with either hand from all angles while protecting all the vulnerable neural areas possible, on the move or in a shootout.
Recently, Ricky Hatton mentioned me to the press in England as per his agent Paul Speak. He opted for Floyd Mayweather but I was told I was on the top of a short list of trainers, and I only offered to increase his one shot punching power almost 100% with each hand. I sent him a video. He chose for this fight with Malignaggi to improve his head movement and defense instead.
I offer the same service to Malignaggi through Buddy McGirt as I do to any fighter, without interfering with their main trainer or program. It is up to them.
Buddy is a great trainer and I spoke with him two days ago, Paulie has to increase his one shot power as did Ricky who would be given only fleeting opportunities to get one or two clean shots in. In Paulie's case, it is a must.
Timing, balance and postitioning is everything, one of the hardest shots I ever saw Dick Tiger take was from feather fisted Joey Archer, who came the closest to dropping him, closer than Carter, Hank, Fullmer or any other middleweight. It is skill, and sneaky shots that you do not see coming.
I do it like a rattlesnake, I call it felony punches, you land them outside the ring it is felony time. Saved only for the legal ring, seriously.
As for the idea that there are few fights left at light-welter for Hatton...How about Bradley? Why? To get hold of Junior Witter's former belt and piss Witter off! Not that I'm advocating it (why not fight Witter and have done with it?), but can't you just imagine Hatton being up for this just to rub salt into Witter's wound?

People are forgetting Hatton cuts easily as well. The fast slashing punches of Malignaggi could cause a stoppage. Worth a fiver. I 'll probably have some money on Paulie outright and slip a fiver on the stoppage.
I thought I was a bit mad when I put money on a Malignaggi stoppage a while back, am surprised so many others feel the same.
Just feel Hatton's unease at fighting slick fighters and Malignaggi's punch output on the backfoot against Hatton's zero defense makes it a decent bet. It was worrying how Hatton's face was so marked up with the few shots Lazcano managed to land clean, maybe cuts will be an issue again?

Thats shit Mayweather Senior offered to increase his power by over 1000% in each hand
that's Alan Sugar's report at the CBZ "He" - Mr. Lipton was in the running to become Hatton's new trainer, Ron is stating that he was going to improve Ricky's punch power - while NOT changing his (Ricky's) style!
just as most people here agree shouldn't be tampered with either... but Ricky has chosen FMW Srn, and 'attempting' to turn boxer! along with everyone here, I agree also it's possibly a serious mistake.

Yeah a lot of people forget that, same with the Urango fight as well.
And the Vilches fight. If he's had all these illnesses then what's to say he won't have another one? If he loses what will be the excuse if not an illness? The split from Billy Graham? Floyd Sr not giving him the attention he needed? What was wrong with him for the Collazo fight?

He always has something wrong with him. He will say he lost to PM because just fought the p4p best in mayweather and there s no higher place in sport.
Then he will go and get drunk on a bench somewhere.
Against Collazo he only outweighed him by 2lbs and Hatton likes to have at least 10lbs weight on opponent.
I was tempted by this bet too, but I think Hatton will come in hungry to impress again and that may be enough against a Malignaggi who has looked pretty bad recently ..
i might still put a little on, particularly if i can get 16/1
Yep, I put a tenner bet on for paulie a week ago just in case. I still thing it will be a pts win for hatton however.
Also, I remember reading somewhere that the IBF title will not be on the line because Ricky is'nt the mandatory, is this still the true or have the IBF let it go??

I will give you 25/1 for a Malignaggi stoppage. IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN PEOPLE !!!!!!
Cheers, appreciate that. Who should we get to act as mediator and how much are you willing to let me stake on it?
25/1 on a tko or ko but not stop on cuts, you can stake upto a £100, iv'e got an account on betfair i will offer the bet to you on there ?
Bullshit. What do you mean "not stop on cuts"? Why not? What about DQ? Those 25/1 odds you are offering are no longer looking good because they are not on the same terms. I'd rather do it with Laddies and take the 16/1.

Come of it John, Hatton cuts pretty easy, his fight could have been stopped against Thaxton but he went on to win that fight, so if he got cut and it was a dubious stoppage thats hardly a fair bet, If the fight was stopped on cuts i would refund your bet hows thats sound ???

It would still be a fair bet with Ladbrokes. I'd rather take the 16/1 with them, thanks.
