Bloody Sky (part 2)

Post by glittermonkey »

No repeats of saturday fight night on sunday morning has left me more than a little put out. They show endless repeats of Watersports World, but can't give us a single extra showing of the Sprott/Skelton bill.
I know i probably havn't missed much but i still would have liked to see it. Does anyone know if it was tagged on to the ppv last night?

Not the live version of the PPV, it was only 2 hours long and feature just two bouts. Not much hype aswell - I think it was only 15 minutes before the Navarro fight and Klitchko vs Sanders walked in at 3 o clock.

I'm actually glad they haven't bothered with the repeat.

Yes, it was dire. I didn't pay for it but saw it elsewhere. The producers really need to have a word with The Oracle a.k.a Barry McGuigan. Really annoying how he kept interrupting everybody, including the host Dempsey.

Yeah McGuigan annoyed me too, sitting there on his high chair next to Dempsey interrupting everyone else, good job Dempsey took control and sorted out a pecking order. Future note SKY...five men all round one desk it too many!! The undercard action was ok but it failed to justify a £13 price, Navarro was good and that other guy Khaddour was decent too but hardly worthy of the fee.

Thing is Sky aren't going to show repeats of Saturday Fight Night on the sunday morning when the broadcast contains hype about the Klitschko fight, which happens saturday night.

Maybe they showed some of it on the repeat PPV show. Wouldn't know cause I didn't buy it.

Yeah, good point. That being the case means that anyone who missed the bill will only get to see brief highlights on ringside, which still annoys me. All i wanted to was to see if Macklin was showing any signs of improvement, and the two or three rounds shown on thursday won't give me the full picture. Still it's better than nothing i suppose.

I think Frankenstein v Sanders is being shown this week on ringside.

It seems plenty around here purchased the fight anyway, I nearly did but now I'm more than pleased that I gave it a miss.

So much for the Vlad/Brewster Spinks/Judah compensation package. 8)

After the last Ruiz fight it was like watching Zale/Graziano.
Much better fight to watch live though, as you never knew if Sanders was gonna get lucky with a left hook.

i must be hoinest and reprimand myself tho and confess, I wasnt gonna watch it but I went to reading and by the time I was back and had wee drink (it was sat night and I didnt touch a drop all day) I thought aaaw sod it its another hr I may as well...in retrospect despite the fact I hate paying more money out of principle for these fights form sky, Im glad I did. It was exciting while it lasted I thought Sanders was gonna drop him in the first.. :o
