Help From Vancouver Fan

Post by Cap »

There was a boxing carnival scheduled for Vancouver on December 26, 1918 and Tommy Burns was supposed to fight 6 rounds with Mick King of Australia. Can someone with access to Vancouver papers of that day please confirm or deny this, and if true, please provide result.

Many Thanks.

In 1918, the only fight on his record was a 4 rd KO over Tex Foster in Prince Rupert.

Of interest, Jack Johnson had a 6 rd. no decision bout with Victor McLaglen in Vancouver
in 1909.

Actually, it turns out it was Tex Brecken not Foster. The old Ring Record was wrong.
