What he needs to do if have 3 or 4 fights with Willie Limmond's of this world, and after he begins to cut out the mistakes, not get tagged so much and win with ease, then move him up to say a Murray, by which time Murray will hopefully have made a name for himself outside the world of boxing forums.

Murray needs some building up before fighting Khan, as it stands Murray will very much be the opponent and of course, getting an opponents fee.....

If I were Murray, i'd be doing almost anything to get in the ring with prescott.... but presumably mr Warren will be able to get in the way of that, and would obviously want to.

I agree, but it's still a bit of a gamble & even if he were to win I'm not sure he'd be quite ready to fight on the level where his ranking would put him. I would say let Khan and Murray have another fight or two before building to a bout with each other. As for Prescott, Warren will not want him in against any more of his prospects, but he may be able to get him a decent name considering there'd probably be quite a few other guys looking at him as a very beatable and unproven opponent, outside of the Khan fight, which only really proved Prescott could dig a bit and that Khans chin was made out of the Pakistani equivalent of Waterford Crystal.

You'll never be able to rehabilitate that chin. Khan's just not cut out for the pro game. A lot of these new amateurs won't be, the way they have to box nowadays (IMHO) means there is a bigger difference between being a good non-paid boxer and going on to become a hardened pro.

He's had too much too soon as well. That was a devastating defeat and I just don't think he'll ever recover from that. Shame as I think he is a good lad and now Calzaghe and Hatton are coming to the end of the road British boxing needs a star. And I know David Haye's still there but bloody hell.... all this talk.... get you're ass in the ring and fight and stop flexing your muscles... fight for heaven's sake!

Whoever Khan fights next , he should be told the same.

I agree Ian, but arrogant buggers like Khan and Froch think they know best. Show more respect for the man in front of you would be good advice too. Froch is the next to come unstuck and my sympathy will be with MH who has worked hard for his stable of fighters.

It makes me laugh, it really does. Prescott beats Khan and overnight people think he is capable of fighting for a World title. All Prescott did was watch videos of Khan rushing in with his chin up, and being heavy handed knew if he could land a bomb he would win. A decent boxer who respects Prescotts KO potential, will outpoint him.

Froch should not be classed the same as Khan. He has backed up everything he said he would do so far.

Froch should not be classed the same as Khan. He has backed up everything he said he would do so far.

If you are good enough, and Froch is, you can do very well at the lower and middle levels, however Froch is now going to have to fight at the top level and I dont think he will survive with that style. The first rules of boxing as you well know are, keep your hands up and defend yourself at all times. Naz, because of his speed was able to succeed with that style, well until he fought Berrero anyway. Froch by his own admission, a huge fan of Naz, just doesnt have that speed. Both Froch and Khan are arrogant, confidence is another matter and very necessary. What Khan and Froch say is one thing but the manner in which they fight shows they dont respect their opponents enough. Khan has come unstuck thinking he would blast Prescott out early while the complete reverse happened in less than a minute. Froch does have a good chin but the top men will find it and if they land flush he will go down. Dont get me wrong, I want Froch to succeed, for boxing on ITV to succeed. He is the star act of the MH stable and I want the ITV bosses to be happy. I also want to see Murray, Barker etc in competetive matches as well. This contract MH has is the best news boxing has had in years and I really do hope all goes well so many of the fans can see good fights without having to pay extra to Sky and Setanta. My view is from now on Froch needs to develope a more classic style of fighting and realise the likes of Kessler, Bute etc are dangerous men who could end his run of wins with one big punch.
