There is a rule for the Boxrec Hall of Fame that a fighter has to be inactive for 10 years. Duran last had a fight in 2001, so he won't be eligible until 2011. He hasn't been snubbed.

I will e-mail him immediately and let him know. It will take a tremendous load off his mind, and help restore his shattered self-esteem.

I know that he was checking the internet constantly while waiting for the results of the last election. Rumor has it that, after the results were announced, Roberto walked away from his computer muttering over and over . . . "Now I'm the Pete Rose of the BoxRec hall of Fame . . ."
