so its him then. Ok, i'd class this guy as B level after his win over Corey Sanders, although sanders wasn't exactly going through a good spell at the time. He may be a comparable challenge to the likes of castillo or cley bey, at least I hope so.

wasn't this guy also considered a prospect?anyone seen him fight?

Decent enough opponent, nothing special, but I think that Audley may be struggling to find a decent opponent at the moment. This will do for now though, but has to step up in his next couple of fights.

Pretty sure Popov would beat Hersisia so it's a step in the right direction at least. Not quite sure how much the win over Sanders means though, wasn't that giant about 25st or something for the fight? His best fighting days are long gone I'm sure.

Yes, Sanders was over 23 stone for his last fight with Hoffmann.

mmmm,

After jumping on board to the Harrison ship last year, I gotta say I'm starting to have doubts again!

Why? Well, things are pointing towards Audley taking the HEAVYWEIGHT PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE. I've waited patiently for him to step up but the guy is starting to test my patience big time.

POPOV is an average opponent with only a little experience. Sure he's unbeaten but surely at this stage Harrison should be going in against more experienced opposition who have mixed with the world's best. Somebody who the public might have heard of, not some obscure russian with a Buttered record. He's a little bit better than Hersisia but that's not saying much to be honest!

Here's some of the boxer's Audley could have faced rather than Popov :

Clifford Ettiene
Ray Mercer
Oleg Maskaev
Michael Grant
Timmo Hoffman
Danell Nicholson
Ray Austin

None of these guys would have beaten Audley but at least they would have given him Big fight experience that he's severly lacking at the moment.

We said from the off, Audley would defend against a guy with a record that flatters to deceive. But this isn't the worst match in the world. Incidentally, does anyone know how Popov coped with the massive Sanders last time out in an eight-rounder?
And if he was a good amateur?

isn't it about time harrison faced his first lively, tough american fringe contender who will take him the distance and initiate him?

you know like bruno had jumbo cummings, lewis had levi billups, a ross purritty type of fella is needed now. am iright or am i wrong?

Another opponent that isn't the best in the world but isn't the worst. Think he is slowly stepping up, but he has to remember his age. Still, think Popov is an okay-ish choice of opponent.

robert wiggins woulda fit the bill, but there's no point fighting him after this one. audley needs to make rapid step ups with every fight. i would put him in with euro champ 'Mr Limited' Luan Krasniqi after this. no doubt.

true mate good call, and keeping fingers crossed one thing is for sure with Skelton being touted as "going after krasniq" it may hurry aud up a little and force his hand as it were.

Skelton is not up to much - HH - DW - AH should all beat him.

Hi guys, everything ok? Harrison should first fight a guy for a tough 12rounder. then he is ready for Luan. He made a brilliant job in his last 12 rounder. By the way, Krasniqi is no "Mr.Limited". Let´s wait and see.

Anyway, Krasniqi fights Hoffmann in Summer. Afterwards he will fight a guy in order to improve on the world rankings. He is 18th at the moment in WBC I think. Maybe at the end of the year there could be a Harison-fight. But Harrison should fight one good and tough guy before over 12 rounds.

Krasniqi holds one of the best belts in boxing. Audley? Well, one of the worst.
