You know the worst thing DG? That the bottom bill was nationally televised - Just imagine if the Reid vs Pretorius fight was televised on ITV? Everyone would be still talking about it now!

I watched the fights with my old dad and he said 'boxing has gone down the toilet' it certainly has!

Don't go then.

Its not as if you don't know the bill before paying your money.
if its shite watch it in a pub, or at home.

I don't go! It would be an insult to my intelligence to pay good money
for complete dross.

However - I can complain or compare to a time when big fights were not so shite - can I not?

This is what this forum is for.

That's exactly what I think as well, I rarely go to shows now(I haven't been to one this year) because no matter how good the main event is the undercards are far too weak these days.

yes the match ups were bloody awful but a decent standard of fighters were on the calzaghe-manfredo bill:

Gary Lockett
Bradley Pryce
Joe Calzaghe
Michael Jennings
Enzo Maccarinelli
Amir Khan
Kell Brook
Nathan Cleverly
Gavin Rees
Kenny Anderson
Derek Chisora

Lets be honest old frank would use any one of these fighters as a headline for a show now!
