The King of the Ring, Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton swaps the gym for live TV to host his very own weekly chat show.

From the comfort of the famous Press Club in Manchester Ricky will join sports journalist Dominic McGuiness in a fast moving phone-in, with special guests a-plenty.

Ricky’s army of fans can call the “Chatman” to talk about past fights as well as his upcoming battle in November with Paul Malignaggi.

But that’s not all! The Chatman will give his own take on each particular weeks events from the world of sport and entertainment – with no holds barred!

Broadcasting live from his home town of Manchester, ‘The Chatman’ will welcome surprise guests from the world of sport and showbiz calling in for a chat, maybe have a game of darts or try their luck to see how well they do on his very own electronic punch ball machine.

oh god, sounds terrible. sounds like hatton doesn't really want to figth anymore. That bet does look good. Sadly this appears to be an 'old overnight' fight for Hatton.

But then again, we all know Malignaggi really isnt anything special so who knows.

I agree with the consensus that this will be 'watch through your fingers' viewing. Being good on telly and being able to present are very different things. Ian Wright anybody?

Personally I don't think he should be doing it whilst he's still an active boxer. I think the signs were in his last fight that he was sliding physically and the last thing he needs is to lose focus.

Jesus, Ricky really is putting the 'fat' in fatuous isn't he.

I would rather sandpaper my bell-end and douse them it in caustic soda than watch Ricky Hatton being given license to spout his one liners.

It will be like that David Gest bloke, who people thought was hilarious with his 'witty' one liners, and jaunty catchphrases..."Holy Foccacia!" seemed quite funny at the time, but then I remember seeing him trying out his 'material' on never mind the buzzcocks, and even the tumbleweeds were groaning as they went past.
