Yeah, but to be halfway there Thomas would have 50-60 fights by now, and he doesn't.

Probably didn't have the same activity as Dan, i.e. national and international events.

Yeah, I talked to him and his dad at Ringside and they told me he had already turned pro. I hadn't realized it either.

Fernando Guerrero is boxing on ShoBox on October 3rd. Hal is doing a great job. His charge is 9-0 with 9 KO's and now has an 8 round semi-main event on national TV. His opponent is a small step up, but should not be that difficult for him. I predict another KO for Fernando.

I'm lead to believe that Lomachenko will opt to stay in the amatuers and go for more gold medals at future Olympics.

Shawn Porter makes his pro debut on the Friday, October 3 card at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, MD. His old rival, Fernando Guerrero will be in the co-feature bout.

They are both being promoted by Prize Fight Promotions along with the Peterson brothers, Ray Whitfield and a few others.

The Peterson brothers recently left Prize Fight Promotions and signed contracts with Top Rank. I have been impressed with Prize Fight's development of their fighters and both Fernando and Shawn should do well under their guidance.

I too have been impressed with Prize Fight's promotions and how they have moved their boxers. I like that they have kept them busy. I am not sure why the Peterson brothers would have left as they both were ranked high and Anthony won the WBO & NABO lightweight title and Lamont won the WBO & NABO light welterweight title. I would have been happy to have boxed regularly (28-0 and 25-0 respectively) which was about 6 times per year. That is very good at that level.

They did not leave Prizefight. They are still very much connected and Prizefight is working together with Top Rank, a relationship that is beneficial to everyone involved.

I noticed that 2 or 3 promoters were working together last night for the ShoBox card. I think we will see a lot more of that in the future.

It was a complicated situation and you would have to a lawyer to understand it,,,,oh yea you are one. There were a number of reasons for that. Lou Duva was there and at the weigh in and the fight he was treated like royalty, with a steady line of fans wanting to say hello and get a picture with him. He is such a nice man. My buddy was asking for weeks "Do you think Lou Duva will be here" , My buddy is a Jersey guy is a successful business man that was blow away when Lou sat and talked with him for 30 minutes at the weigh-in and then Lou sat with him at the fight and talked his ear off. My buddy is still can't believe it. We were also very appreciative of Paul Williams and his manager/trainer Junebug Peterson for coming in to support Fernando. They sparred to get Paul ready for Kolle and they have become good friends.

That is what a lot of people don't understand about boxing. Boxers spar with each other and often become good friends. Same thing holds true when they compete against each other.
