Theophane v Gainer in the pipeline

Looks like Ashley Theophane could be facing ex world champ Derek Gainer on the Calzaghe card.
Another good fight in the US for Ashley, who looks as if he's moving in the right direction.

Think it's a done deal, Ian. He's in training for him now and sparring with Ajose Olusegun.

Hmm, decent name but I don't know what's to be gained (no pun).

Well Thaxton has been around euro level all his career and is just cashing in now, Theophane has been around a fraction of that time and maybe not at the same level as Thaxton, but has a name for himself in the US, and is getting TV exposure. A win here and a title shot of some sort is not out of the question.
