Can't you get it because you don't pick up the signal? Or because your on Virgin media and they don't supply the channel? Because theres some cheap freeview boxes on ebay for less than the price of one Sky ppv :)Asterix wrote:I wish I could get Nuts TV. :(

So it's free here, but on PPV in the States?! Odd.
Re: Abrahham v Marquez live on Nuts TV next Saturday
I'm on Virgin Media downstairs and upstairs I can't get the signal (which is funny because all the other channels have a very strong signal).scotty wrote:Can't you get it because you don't pick up the signal? I think i will watch Thaxton fight if it clashes with the main event. I exepct Marquez to put up a brave effort but Abraham will be too strong for him.

Armenian thumper Arthur Abraham makes a mandatory defence of his IBF middleweight title against grizzled Houston southpaw Raul Marquez this Saturday in the Bavarian town of Bamberg in Germany (October 4).
The hard-hitting Abraham comes off one of his best displays: a four-round pasting of Edison Miranda in June in Florida, the man he had previously managed to outscore with a broken jaw. It cleared that little feud up and took the champion's record to 27-0 (22) and to a seventh successful defence of his title. Alongside Youngstown puncher Kelly Pavlik, "King" Arthur is right up there as the best middleweight on the globe and enjoys a whopping nine years on the 37-year-old Marquez, who was a member of the American Olympic team - in 1992! - but earned his crack with a close decision over dangerous Dominican (and previously unbeaten) Giovanni Lorenzo on the Abraham-Miranda bill in Florida in a cracking 12-rounder.
You know, Marquez is actually looking quite good for his age. He held the IBF title at light-middleweight back in 1997, a title he lost in the same year to Yory Boy Campas (who is also still going) and in 46 fights has lost only to Campas, Fernando Vargas and Jermain Taylor. He deserves another crack on perseverance alone but is a notorious 'bleeder' and likes to come forward, which will play into the heavy hands of Abraham, who stands as a huge middleweight and is poised for some big fights in the States.
In Germany, where Abraham is based, it is hard to see even "El Diamante" Marquez defying father time.

I really enjoy Marquez when he does commentary - I think he has a bright bright future in the media. I really cannot see him beating Arbaham. I would say Abraham on points of a cuts win, quite clearly.
Re: Abrahham v Marquez live on Nuts TV next Saturday
Marquez seems like a great guy. Abraham will win; I just hope Marquez doesn't get hurt too badly.

Ahh ok shame nuts is pretty good for the boxing, especially all the classic re-runs it shows.Asterix wrote:I'm on Virgin Media downstairs and upstairs I can't get the signal (which is funny because all the other channels have a very strong signal).scotty wrote:Can't you get it because you don't pick up the signal? I had Marquez drawing against Lorenzo. Therefore, it's hard to see Abraham not destroying him here.
Abraham TKO4

Yeah. Hopefully it will be on Virgin TV soon. I'll have access to Abraham vs Marquez via a reliable paid Internet stream, but it's obviously much better on the big screen.scotty wrote:Ahh ok shame nuts is pretty good for the boxing, especially all the classic re-runs it shows.

Good old nuts, cannae beat quality free boxing.
Gutted about missing the Thaxton fight though. I will be at Oktoberfest that weekend getting lashed and can only record one of the fights. Reckon Abraham is a better go than Thaxton though.
