Damn, I've been away from this thread for too long! Look at what's become of it!

For starters, Moorer thrashes Hill just like he did to Maxim. He walks him down, works his way inside, and batters him wherever and whenever he pleases. D

As for Zale, he did far more than simply beat Graziano. What about Al Hostak, Fred Apostoli, and Georgie Abrams?

Lastly, I'll take Satterfield by split decision over Bob Murphy. Satter uses lead rights to dictate most of the fight (perhaps flooring Murphy a couple of times along the way), but his lack of conditioning and Murphy's relentless attack makes the fight close.


Next up: Roberto Duran vs. Ike Williams.

prime vs prime i think this one likely goes to the cards and the judges give it to whom they like better based on aggressive style,tactfull strategy,workrate,power punches and ring generalship.I'd have to lean towards Duran taking it by a very narrow margin by way of the judges likely favoring Duran's slightly superior aggression,workrate,and ring generalship.

Fenech cannot go punch for punch with Gomez.

Gomez was a Beast at 122.He was The Duran of Jr.FW.Fenech tastes enough of Gomez's power and stays very defensive after the 5th.

Gomez keeps the pressure on till the final bell.Fenech,battered and bloodied,hangs in there in almost "Rocky I" like fashion.

Wide decision Win For Wilfredo.

IMO, Biggs was quite under-rated.

He was unfortunate to fight the likes of Tyson, Bowe and Lewis when they were in their prime. Not to mention he stupidly suffered from Drug and Alcohol problems.

IMO, the Talent was there (as his Olympic success showed).

I feel, a Level-Headed Prime Biggs will outpoint Ingemmar over 12 rounds, to win a comfortable UD.

Thats a hard one. I think Marvis is mis understood. His only losses
being against two all time legends in their peaks (or near to it).
He showed in his close fight with Smith he could beat a big hard
hitting boxer, but could he manage this against the likes of the Klit
boys.

I am going to be bold and take a big step....Marvis beats Vitali by a
smartly fought decision. Vitali, whose shoulder plays up as he over
extends on his shots, begins to slow up the tempo. Marvis wins a
MD against Vitali.

Wlad however gets revenge by TKO in the 8th round.

James Corbett (1892) Vs Shannon Briggs (1998) 12 rounds.

Corbett completely outclasses the hapless Briggs who catches James once and plants him on his butt in the 4th round. Corbett does not make the same mistake again with the Powerful big man and gets up and gracefully and narrowly wins nearly all of the remaining rounds, with people in the front seats literally feeling the wind of the hard shots that Shannon is attempting to put on James that simply go whistling by.

and just goes after Moore, who absorbs and rolls with the blows fighting from
the ropes and countering. The late rounds are Moore's where he puts Qawi
onto the canvas a few times, only to get the win as the Ref waves a groggy
Qawi off. A good fight, but Moore has that bit to much.

Hmm i feel Dokes takes this. Dokes would probablt be knocked down atleast once. Likewise, Morrison will be knocked down atleast once. However I feel Morrison will not recover from his Knockdown.

Tyson takes Braddock apart in three. Tough, game & wily, Braddock is nonetheless overmatched. In this encounter, Tyson doesn't settle into breaking his man down, ala Louis in '37.

Bert Cooper puts Hagler away in an exciting brawl. Hagler does well early but does not
have the weight or power to stop Cooper.

I like this one. Simon is a little undersold, IMO. He's no Conn, however, & he spends the first four rounds trying (& failing) to catch Conn out. Rounds five-through-nine are better for Simon --- his monstrous physique & formidable strength play on Conn's size disparity, but The Pittsburgh Kid shines through for a UD, with some hairy moments along the way. Like I said, Simon is underrated.
