i always liked paz and his intensity.

the way he came back from the neck injury was remarkable.

I have only seen a few fights of his and he looks exciting to
watch good speed and movement. I am not really that much
of an 'expert'(fan) of his division so I do not know what impact
he had over all as a champ. All I do know is that RJJ owned
him and he did damned well considering he was out with that
injury.

Paz started out at 135 and had good success in the LW division.Very Entertaining and high intensity Warrior.

then he had the neck injury and docs thought he'd never walk again let alone box.

he came back as a jr.MW then quickly moved to MW,and then, very shortly thereafter,SMW,and that's where he remained.
his last bouts were actually at LHW i believe.I'll have to go double check.

Anyway though,He was Way too small and out of his league against Jones Jr.

Not to mention,he was quite ill going into that bout.I believe em because he looked Real Good at first and then his ill body started fading really quick after the 3rd round.Being Sick/iLL,even having just a bad cold will drain the Sh^t outta ya.

If not for having iLL health going into the Jones jr bout i think Paz had a good chance to go the distance with em.

Paz was really strong, tough and resiliant....Had alotta ferocity and heart.

stood only 5-7 as well....his reach was fairly decent at 70" but still, just way too small for SMW.

should've stayed at Jr.MW imo.
