That's harsh. Maurice Core is the one they should ban.
I thought it was harsh also, especially as the gloves Thomspon fought with were all above board. Not only can he not afford to be out for so long, but the validity his greatest ever win will be questioned by some who don't know the facts.
Think back to Billy Collins- Luis Resto and then tell me its harsh.
Thumbs on gloves dont detach accidentally.
In my book, this is a worse crime than Tyson biting Holyfield.
Have to agree that a 6 month ban is about right - whatever stage his career is at, doesn't come into it.
He says "a friend" cut the thumbs loose, but wont say who. With an answer like that he can expect to get the full blame. His choice.
What a stupid trick to pull, nieve in the extreme. Whoever it was, Carl better get rid of him quick. He doesn't need "mates" like that in his team.
Now, there's a thought, that would really be a HUGE step up for Haye, Castro has made mugs of quite a few fighters who thought they were world class, bloody risky fight in my opinion.
Castro is class, someone should write a book about that guy.

Elvis normally has great stamina but seemed to run out of gas against Oboh.....
I personally think Oboh could beat Woods.....good fighter, dirty bastard, but a good fighter
Yeah I say that about Lowe because of the impressive workrate he maintained against Linford on that sweltering night at York Hall when the Audley riot kicked off.
Maybe he'll get found out against Oboh. Solid match anyhow.

whassup Danny boy?
havent seen much of Lowe but I take your word about his good stamina....
Oboh is so unorthodox and throws so many shots though, its hard to prepare for him...
I know Oboh has been sparring a bit with Ovil McKenzie and looks his usual dangerous self....
Good fight but unless Oboh gets old over night I think he wins by late stoppage or comes on strong late to take a points victory.....

Was the 10-rounder with Linford a Southern Area title defence? Or an eliminator?
