Froch Is shit talking before doing anything significant though, at least fighters like Haye won the cruiserweight title.

Robin Hood?
I think he'd look daft, but maybe worth convincing him otherwise![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

The more I think about it, the better this fight gets.
I remember watching Pascal as he was coming up, thinking he was a superstar in the making, another Roy Jones. He's not quite that, or at least not yet. He's had a few patchy moments since then and his stock isn't as high as it was, but he's still a hell of a fight for Froch to take.
With Froch it's sort of the opposite for me, he didn't impress at all when he first came onto the scene, I now know he has a granite chin, infinite stamina and a nice array of punches delivered from an awkward style with a shedload of pop behind them.
Froch is just way too open though, he's going to get cracked with some very hard shots delivered with the sort of speed and variety that means he might not see them coming. If he can deal with Pascal's offense and movement I dont think Pascal lasts.
I hope he hasn't overtrained, that would cap an astonishing run of bad luck and possibly spoil what could be a great fight. God help him if he allows Pascal to look like a pitch perfect master, like Clinton did with the egg.
I cant wait for this one, although I'll be skeptical about it actually happening until I see them both on the scales. I guess Pascal's people just conceded that it was time to shit or get off the pot with him, speedy guys dont last. Either that or they've mistakenly picked Froch as the weakest of a good bunch above Pascal in the rankings.

LOL Think? This aint Las Vegas ... he wouldn't turn up in a modernised reimagining of the robin costume, it wouldn't be like the cool, modern take on the costume, like Burton gave the 90s Batman ... it would be the fuc*ing Adam West, man-in-tights approach all the way down to a fisherprice bow and arrow.G0mez wrote:Robin Hood?

I think they should fashion some kind of macabre cobra head, fully hooded, to wear along with some eygytian garb ... surround him with some cleopatra looking biatches, slap a healthy serving of Led Zep's 'Kashmir' over the top and the job's a good 'un.

I don't rate Froch at all. Anyone who actually KNOWS the sport of boxing knows he's a Roy Jones wannabe with a half decent dig.

Excellent pictures. Froch looks like he's fit to bust.
ITV4 increased the anticipation of Froch- Pascal with the extended interview last week and I'm struggling to deal with the wait until 6 December 2008. PLEASE DON'T PULL OUT OF THIS ONE JEAN PASCAL.

I think Macintosh that beat Sparticus is coming down for a few rounds before he heads off to Ireland to spar Darren Barker and some others.

A lovely peice of writing that makes a lot of sense. Could be the best fight of the year involving a British fighter.charlieb wrote:The more I think about it, the better this fight gets.

Re: Froch already 170lb
Goos luck to him I say. Makes no difference to the world scene though.
Re: Froch already 170lb
I hope Pascal will be in shape and injury free.
He fought his last 3 fights over a period of 3 month while trying to heal from a nasty shoulder injury.
Not the best career move in the world especially when you're fighting on American tv trying to hype a fight with Edison Miranda.
There are 3 things Pascal need to do on fight night to have a chance to win this fight.
1- Don't fight like you're Roy Jones.
2- Follow the game plan for the entire fight.
3- Don't throw wide punches.
Unfortunately, I don't think Pascal has the maturity to do that for 12 rounds. Which is why I think Carl Froch will win this fight.
Don't get me wrong. I'll be cheering for Jean. He's from my hometown and all around he's a great guy. But I'm not expecting a good outcome for the Lavallois.
