Without his site and boxrec of course I dont think part-time, freelance Internet writers would exist.
It would just be unsustainable.
Might have been a good thing!

Re: Well done Kevin Taylor of BBN
You'll find loads of 'Reds' aged 25-45 all over the place, without a scouse bone in their body. All traceable to the era when supporting Man Utd wasn't the obvious choice of kids in playgrounds.
I went to school near Doncaster, South Yorks.
I think Liverpool fans were more common-place than Leeds, Wednesday, Rovers - in fact Man Utd were probably second to Liverpool. There was a Newcastle fan because his dad was a geordie and an Evertonian because he didn't want to be like his geordie Dad.
But there were Armchair Daglish fans everywhere.
It was alright for me, I was a Forest fan....42 games without defeat....beat Liverpool in the European Cup, League Cup and League....Shilton in goal, first million pound player.....
Ah those were the days....pity I was only aged 5-8 during that time!

Well done Kevin, Ian and all the team at BBN - it's a great site.
Nice to see Tom Podmore get a mention there too - his tireless coverage of the Midlands scene set the standard for the other regional contributers to aspire to IMO - he rarely missed a show.

Great job lads. Kev, top man
Keep up the good work.
Re: Well done Kevin Taylor of BBN
Yes TT, ironic then that a journo from the Birmingham Mail won an award...probably off the back of Tom...they nick Tom P's BBN stuff left, right and centre. Wankers.TerribleTerry wrote:Well done Kevin, Ian and all the team at BBN - it's a great site.
