Terry Norris vs. Sugar Shane Mosley

Post by Grimm »

Two of the most explosive combination punchers ever who would win this fight at a catchweight of 149?

I agree on the fact that Mosley has a better chin, but I don't think it would matter in this fight I see Norris giving Mosley fits and outboxing him.

Yeah Norris is probably a hair quicker & naturally the bigger guy, but sooner or later he'd take a counter in the middle of one of his flurries & go down.

Mosley KO while trailing on points...

I think that Norris boxes to a decision... i dont think that Mosley's power is going to keep Norris down for good if he does catch him.... Norris's chin is not as bad as everyone portrays it to be... as he got older he slowed down a whole bunch but in their primes Norris takes this fight even at the lower weight of 149....

Ray Leonard would have beaten both of them on the same night. Prime for prime. :box:

And Mike Tyson would KO Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Trinidad on the same night. Prime for prime.

WTF DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THIS?

Mike Tyson is a heavy, so no shit.........SRL fought at the weights Mosely and Terris Norris fought at. Norris even beat an old gray Leonard.

Idk what fvck means but this topic has nothing to do with Ray Leonard and nobody even brought his name up.

You just blurted that out of the blue like you have tourette syndrome or something .

After the Vernon Forrest fight, Mosley was pretty inconsistent. Looks good in some fights, lack luster in some other fights. Norris was inconsistent throughout his career as well.

Fighting at 149 would be to Mosley's advantage; it's much closer to his best weight. Almost anything could happen in this fight, but more often than not Mosley wins this. Norris had greater power, but Mosley had the better chin, and the better all around skills.

This would have been a good fighter if the two fighters fought in their prime during the same era. Norris was a quicker handed boxer puncher, Mosley was great with speed and elusivness. I would have to say Norris by SD, Mosly would gain some good rounds, but I feel Norris would drop Mosly a couple of times giving him the nod in a close fight.

Sugar Shane Mosley wins this by late TKO in the 11th. Terry Norris to me, was OVERRATED. He made his name by fighting washed up legends (John Mugabi, Sugar Ray Leonard and Donald Curry) and good fighters that had to go up in weight like Meldrick Taylor, which by that time, he was also shot and overweight.

But when it was time to fight someone as good, as young and as strong like he, he got crumbled or never again wanted a piece of that fighter like Julian Jackson or Felix "Tito" Trinidad.

Shane has had his troubles above 135, Norris would have given him one hell of a fight. I'll side with Shane in a close decision, perhaps MD or SD.
