yes. it was adrian in those shorts. i picked him up from the airport (heathrow i think) once for panix promotions, really nice bloke, and as i was driving he showed me some scantily clad polaroids of his phillipino bird from back home in the states, with a pair of boxing gloves round her neck and bugger all left to the imagination !! still got a 'chubber on' now thinking about it !!

Don't wish to be a killjoy, but if the board wanted to, they could take issue over some of the gear worn by not only the boxer, but his seconds too.

I'm a bit old fashioned and don't like anything garish or over the top. I'd much sooner the fighter was spoken about for his fistic ability than for the tassles, sequins or gimmicks on his ankle length 'shorts / skirt / sarong etc etc.....

I know I'll get hammered for it, but, as Cloughie used to say, "It's all about opinion".

I once saw Howard Davis wearing something truely awful. (In the ring of course). It was like a Spartan leather skirt, but with different panels which were independent of each other and opened to reveal cycle shorts underneath. And it was in green and yellow. Mmmmmm.

The silver-spangley long shorts with tartan trim Amir Khan wore for one of his earlier fights were horrendous.

Floyd Mayweather's chinchilla edged, Philthy Rich shorts against Phillip N'Dou were, well, as lamentable as the man himself.

Marvin Hagler's Kareem Abdul Jabaar style long socks were totally freegging awesome

But my favourite ring attire has always been the Mexicans who wear rosary beads to the ring. It's so cool.
