Well today i had my health tested at work, and my cholesterol was 6.2, which apparently is high.
the rest of my stuff was fine, i'm inside the BMI, pulse was 47, blood pressure was 121/68.
So any help on how to reduce my cholesterol would be apprieciated.
My diet isn't to bad, but i do love cheese, and have puddings after my main meal in the evening.
i cycle to work 13 miles round trip a day, and am training to do the great south run, so doing about 14 miles a week running.
So i;d say my general fitness is ok.

Fresh chillis in your diet reduce cholesterol although in ultra high fat food reduces their effectiveness
D , Melatonin is shown to reduce cholesterol, plant sterols reduce cholestorol so loads of veg will help, Tribulus reduces cholesterol significantly and turns your sex drive into that of a teenager (I stock this), Guggulsterones do but imo may have side effects, Oatmeal (porridge) does, Soya may also, Grapefruit could theoretically.....
Re: OT- high cholesterol
You do not need to reduce it from 6.2
That is not abnormally high by any means and is probably your natural level. You've nothing to worry about giving those stats, so I wouldn't go hell for leather on some needless crusade to marginally lower your score.

Re: OT- high cholesterol
I've just been tested and weigh in at 7.1! The doctor said not to worry as everything else is fine, diet is ok, plenty of fresh food but now switching to more fish.
Also now going back to the gym to get fitter as I've been a bit slack lately but do walk to work and back so around 4 miles a day but will look to up this.
Started taking Soya Locithin as this is supposed to help but will as PN for more info on his products.
Need to cut down my boozing though, that is my big downfall. Although he did say that 1 or 2 units per day is better than none at all. 3-4 units is the same as drinking nothing and over that you're damaging your body.
Its all fun and games.

Have you a site where I can order Tribilus from you? Any side effects that you know off?Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:Fresh chillis in your diet reduce cholesterol although in ultra high fat food reduces their effectivenessD , Melatonin is shown to reduce cholesterol, plant sterols reduce cholestorol so loads of veg will help, Tribulus reduces cholesterol significantly and turns your sex drive into that of a teenager (I stock this), Guggulsterones do but imo may have side effects, Oatmeal (porridge) does, Soya may also, Grapefruit could theoretically.....
