Great stuff, thanks for that. Was there a boxing hour last week? If there was it's not on the Setanta online archive.

The show is broadcast live at 2pm on Setanta Sports News and repeated at 9pm on Setanta Sports 2 and 11.30pm on Setanta Sports 1.
I'm going to try to catch the 2pm show.

Funny Monte Barrett quote

Post by Old bones Ian »

"David is 10 years my junior," Monte explained on Setanta Sports News. "My girlfriend is 10 years my junior. The difference between her and David is she likes it when I spank her ass!"

if anyone spots if this is a 10 round or 12 round affair with Barrett, drop a reply here, just interesting to know from my point of view.

Seen it advertised in different places as both 10 and 12 rounds

Thanks in hope

Oh yeah. 10 according to Buncey's show last week, yet 12 on BoxRec schedule.

26'll know.

Just watched this - as ever, a fantastic show once again. Regardless of what people say about Haye on here, there is no doubt about it, he's actually a very nice guy. Barrett is too, hopefully they'll make for a good fight.

Can someone post a link. Also I've been without internet for a couple of months so this may have been discussed an I may have missed it but, what do people think of Monte Barrett I thought it was going to be someone else who didn't turn up to an interview.

Barrett was a nice guy.

Not what I expected to be honest.

He seemed to know what he was and what he wasn't.

Also interesting to hear him discuss Vlad.

I think Bunceys show is brilliant, speak his own mind and asks the questions that nobody else will.

I actually found this program by mistake when I had an afternoon to myself and felt like ogling Charlotte Jackson. :-?

Nobody else mentioned Gomez calling out Arthur again. That would still make for a good fight considering the comments made by Gomez. I'd imagine he'd be far more determined in any match up with Arthur and at the same time, surely Arthur must feel now is a good time to banish the demons from the first bout?

id definetly be interested in seeing gomez v arthur 2.it would raise arthurs diminishing profile in scotland and probably be a decent tear up whilst it lasted.

Id imagine it would be at lightweight which would be bad for gomez, arthur will be much stronger at this weight

Gomez v Arthur 2 would be good at lightweight I think. Arthur should move up.

My respect for Haye continues to grow. By contrast, I've got no time at all for Arthur - he's consistently talked the talk but failed to walk the walk. His latest comments regarding English judges being responsible for his loss were pathetic.

Arthur is deeply delusional with an ego that is far greater than his limited skills. The fact is his fights with Gomez, Foster and Cook prove for all the match making hes just a decent British level fighter, nothing more. "Undisputed WBO champ" bloody hell.

Was Barrett & Haye on radio or TV?

HOW DO I WATCH?????????

TV only. It was on Setanta Sports News yesterday afternoon, as a free broadcast. It was then shown later on Setanta 2, followed by Setanta 1 - both pay TV channels (£10 per month). The show will eventually be archived and put on their online archive, which can only be accessed via. an online subscription (£8 per month). Check the schedule, perhaps it will be shown on the news channel again as it's good for promotion of the fights they are covering and therefore in their interests to screen it again.

I liked how Bunce mentioned that they had invited Khan and his team onto the show every week since June, but there was no sign of them. Then why the fornicate did he turn up on Ricky Hattons show on Nuts TV? Is this simply a case of Khan not wanting to be ridiculed (in the past about his poor opponents, and now about his one minute KO defeat), or could there be an underlying matter such as the Sports Network relationship with Setanta/Sky?

The wins over Gulyakevich and Gogoladzge were quite a bit above British level though.
