Reigning Spanish Heavyweight champ???

I can't seem to trace a Spanish Heavyweight champ from 1984 onwards!!

Who has been champ since.

If someone can find champs b4 1961 also I would be grateful

I think they used to show these in old boxing news annuals, but I haven't got that many from before 1960.

I'll have a look tonight to see if I can find out, it's another one of my goals as well, along with Italian, German etc..

Here is how the Spanish heavyweight championship changed hands 1920-1961:

1920 Jose Texidor became the first Spanish heavyweight champion.

14th June 1924 Paolino Uzcudun WKO5 Jose Texidor in Paris.

1930 Uzcudun relinquished title.

20th November 1933 Isadore Gastanga WPTS10 Ricardo Bertazzolo in Barcelona.

18th July 1943 Gastanga retired.

1st November 1945 Paco Bueno WPTS12 Fidel Arciniega in Madrid.

1952 Bueno relinquished the title.

3rd May 1952 Cesar Santa Eulalia WKO2 Jose Mancisidor in San Sebastian.

14th August 1952 Jose Gonzales WKO10 Cesar Santa Eulalia in San Sebastian.

7th April 1961 Mariano Echevarria WPTS12 Jose Gonzales in Madrid.
