Round 8 - Norton generally outboxing Steeds whose not putting up a bad effort.... Norton had Steeds down in the 6th.

Norton is probably up by 5 or 6 IMO - far from a good fight... I'll do a round by round from the 9th.

Round 9 - Norton on the back foot beating Steads to the punch who was a glorified punch bag just stalking...... Easy Norton round 10-9.

Hate this new between round betting the Sky are opperating for the "normal" fights now.

Round 10 - Norton giving Steeds a lesson... if he was more aggressive I think he could stop him. Steeds doing nothing and is looking tired and worn out.

10-9 Norton.

Round 12 as 9,10,11.

Norton should have picked it up and KO'd Steeds. I don't know what was the matter with Steeds - first 3 rounds I thought the younger Steeds was going to get to Norton - he started okay, losing but pressing well and catching Norton occasionally. I don't know if it was fitness, desire or what - but he just then went to fight as he did vs Gammer - glorified punch bag... really dissapointing, and I was dissapointed with Norton's attitude.

Norton wins a wide UD - as expected.

Steeds was 14 stone and to be honest - looks like he can make Light Heavy.

Steeds just didn't want to win after the first couple of rounds. The corner wasn't exactly Mr Motivators. Sure the trainer told him to target the shoulder????

Yeah I heard them say it as well. Norton was ducking under Steeds hooks all night long, thats probably why they told him to aim lower

I think this always had great potential to be a stinker. Pleased that Norton did well though, being a Midlands man :TU:

Lets see what Terry has left first 'Loopylou'. 8 years is a longtime out of the ring.
I know he's been a sparring partner lately , and must of got himself into decent shape, but getting back into the ring for real is the test.

If he's retained 70% of his former skills , then he can make a mark on the domestic scene. Have to wait and see

It was a really boring night's boxing. I was hoping they'd show David Dolan's fight.

I DG actually watched Little Britain instead.

Was a poor fight that DG was not prepared to watch.

Also, DG believes that people who refer to themselves in the 3rd person take themselves way too seriously and in no way does DG condone 3rd person usage.

There has been some stinkers recently - Barnes vs Bami, Barnes vs Morrison. Brook vs Jones wasn't the greatest either (nothing wrong with Brooks performance).
