I'll have a bet now.
31-10-08 cancelled, and put back to a later date, with McIntyre getting home advantage.
I feel for Brook.
Wazza is an arsehole.

Why would Wazza give homefield advantage away to another fighter?? are things between him and the Ingles THAT bad??
Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!

Lets wait and see what the official line is - if Wazza and his tea boys have the courtesy to advise us.
By the way Pocket, I know old habits die hard , but from a Sheffield aspect your article could be seen as being very biased.
I hope United never draw Chester away in the cup.
We have your address.
;;-)

Your 'moving of date' scenario is very interesting. 8)twenty six wrote:Lets wait and see what the official line is - if Wazza and his tea boys have the courtesy to advise us.

It's an interview with McIntyre so Martin didn't have to see 'the other side' - in my opinion.

All tongue in cheek, Ian as Mr Dobbin will know.
We've had some laughts in the past on other boards.

Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
Yeah that does seem odd. TwentySix is it alright for me to comment on this thread as we all know how sensitive you are regarding 'he who wont be named'? Anyway as I was saying...unless they are thinking they will sell more tickets if its in Scotland.thepocketrocket wrote:Im flummoxed(though I know you are close to the Ingle camp so may know more)twenty six wrote:I'll have a bet now.

You don't need my permission.
He who wont be named ?
Who's that then ?
Wazza is mentioned in my post as is Brook.
Let's see what is said - I may be a mile off the mark.

'He who wont be named' aka kell. Because everytime I mention his name or add a reply in a topic associated with him you go off on one.twenty six wrote:You don't need my permission.

Say something constructive and not "he's good lookin" and I will.
Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
Twenty six your spot on mate
Im Kevins Brother and he got told couple of weeks ago about the change
still no Reason though or confirmation
Now im hearing it might stay at the original date
Surely they would need permission from the board
AS When Brook was fighting for the title it was on the boards web that it had to be defended
on the date Given without Pospontmend
However Warren basically owns the board
Ive forked out for Flight and Hotel that cant be refunded
Typical Boxing

OK, im totally confused!!
Kell brook is a hot property and at a young age may earn Warren quite a bit of cash?? So why is Warren going to give Kevin Mac the edge??

Gazmac,
As of friday, I heard date definitely moved.
Let's wait till we hear the official line - if we ever do.
What pisses me off is that Wazza and his pissboys slag everyone else off, then pull stunts like this.
You can still buy tickets for 31st !!!!!
Likewise people like yourself suffer, having made your plans in advance.
Where's Boxingchat when you need him ?
Sorry forgot he only surfaces when the coast is clear.
At this point I'm gonna say no more .
Martin - we can pick this debate up at a later date.

If this show is cancelled and moved to another town then it will be the second straight time SN has stiffed the Brummie fans. I have bought tickets for me and my bros and some mates are also due to go.. Wazza can fornicate himself if he thinks I will buy tickets and reserve a weekend for a THIRD time in a row. Amateurs
Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
There was talk of Don Broadhurst headlining and show still going ahead
but surely Sky will have say in the matter aswell
As much as it would be great up here for Kevin
i hope it goes ahead on 31st
hes not bothered where it is
just be nice to have answers from Warrens mob

Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
To be honest even if Broadhurst is bumped up to main event it will still be a let down - the card was an attraction because it was headlined by a genuine and intriguing British title fight and had 3 local lads (Macklin, Broadhurst and Costello) on the undercard to bring the local interest.Gazmac81 wrote:There was talk of Don Broadhurst headlining and show still going ahead

It was always too good to be true.
After Warren has ignored the Second City for over ten years he is hardly convering himself in glory upon his return.

In which recent topic have I said 'hes good looking'?twenty six wrote:Say something constructive and not "he's good lookin" and I will.
Gazmac81 this is why I hate going to a FW bill because you never know if its gonna get cancelled or moved. Esp if its a Kell fight because they always mess about with his.
Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
Very True Emma
as the original Defence against Kell was in scotland and got cancelled
this was one of the reasons there was stink because this still counted as Kevin pulling out of Fight
Anyway thats in past but i wish he would at least let us know wtf is happening
because im getting pestered by everyone asking if they should book or not to come down to Bhx
I thought maybe something was up with Kell and he needed extra time
however is seems as if hes as much in the know as Kev.
Both will Need to keep Hammering the training and work towards the 31st untill further notice

Re: Kevin McIntyre interview at BBN!!
Gazmac,
There's nothing wrong with Ezekiel.
The clock ticks, and as usual, the people that matter are given the mushroom treatment.
It's a disgrace.
TT - I was on my way as well, having rarely visited Brummie for boxing, and wanted to see first hand the level of support in the area.
I'm a lucky guy, I can fund my hobby, but even so I'm getting sick of being pissed about booking, cancelling, rebooking etc.
It's out of order to treat boxers and fans like this.
I won't go if the headliner is moved.
