Breaking news: Warren dumps Neil Sinclair!

NEIL Sinclair's career has been thrown into turmoil after promoter allegedly axed him from his camp.
Warren revealed last night that he no longer wants to promote Sinclair and is calling on the Belfast man to quit the ring after the former British welterweight champion turned down a series of fights.
"I think he should start looking for another career. He has too much indecision and that will cost you in the ring some day," said Warren, who offered Sinclair WBU title fights with Jan Bergman, Jimmy Vincent and most recently, Takaloo.
"I no longer want to promote him. It has just been so frustrating with him. I don't know what is going on with him but I can't afford to waste any more time. I have offered him big fights and he has turned them down.
"He's a lovely guy. I like him and he has a great punch but he has to want to be a fighter and I'm not sure he has that desire any more. I hope whatever he does in the future works out for him."
It is understood that Warren's patience ran out with the 30-year-old when he refused an opportunity to challenge WBU light-middleweight champion Takaloo later this month.
Originally Sinclair accepted the fight with Takaloo but then later declined and British boxing's big paymaster decided that was one refusal too far.
Sinclair has not boxed since claiming a Lonsdale belt outright last February in Belfast.
Coach and manager John Breen has been rocked by the news, though not totally surprised by Warren's decision.
"It has been a tough year for Neil and this is a devastating blow for him but I can see allegedly's point of view too. It's now really down to Neil to see what route he now takes. He has to show that he is fully committed," said Breen.
"I suppose you could say that it all started last year when he gave up the British title when asked to by Frank and was promised a world title fight and it didn't happen. He was offered other fights but wasn't motivated and then was offered title fights with Jimmy Vincent and pulled out.
"Then came the Takaloo fight and I believed Neil could win it. He was only stepping up a few pounds but he decided in the end not to fight because he feels he is a welterweight.
"But he now has to show he really wants to fight again because he has not been truly committed since returning to the gym. This is a tough game and only total commitment is acceptable. I just hope he doesn't retire because of this because he still has a lot of potential and the ability to be a champion again."

lol, on that basis, Hatton should leave Warren. He's been frustrating him.

No point in going to Hennessy cause he will never fight in ireland

yeah i was thinking that after i did my post

it would make alot of sence. as far as i'm aware Hennessey hasn't done an Irish show, where as Matchroom have, like you say with Magee. Would like to see some ambition from Sinky though, his head seems messed yup at the moment, deciding what to do.

i'm not surprised he turned down fights with bergman, takaloo and vincent :x hardly gr8 fights for him.

takaloo is a light middle

vincent dropped a decision for the british title and is hardly the promised world title fight and as for jan bergman

he's finished after getting beaten in a couple of rds by james hare.

Look for him to retire! His heart isn't there anymore. From how I read the article I still expect him to fight in for Sports Network. Its seems like there is no personal problems there, its just FW is frustrated at his lack of desire.

If Sinclair is going to comeback (and I didn't realise he's been out of action for so long) then he is going to have to want it. If FW can see that he wants to comeback, then I can't see why they can't work together. Sinclair cannot say he hasn't been given opportunities under Warren - and like his coach said, you can see Sports Network's stance.

Its alright being offered so called big fights,but if the the money is crap which it prob is I am not surprised Sinc said no.Why didnt frank get him a fight at his own weight.

Lot of polotics here. Warren has stood by Sinky through thick and thin, through all his bouts of depression..ive said it before and ill say it again, some could say Sinky is acting like a bit of an ingrate..not sure ill go that far, just hope he sorts himself out

I think i would be depressed too if i had given up my British Title so David Barnes who is part of the Manc scene (and a good fighter in my opinion) could fight for it on the promise of bigger and better things which didnt happen for Sinclair.
So basically he got conned then fobbed of simple as that.
