Why do you think that is then?
Possibly because we have so many divisions and so many world title belts these days that it creates easier oportunities for today's fighters to jump up in weight and win titles?
Also, here's a question, why does it appear (to me at least) that British fighters have a higher tendancy than, for example, American boxers, to squeeze there bodies into as low a weight division as nature will allow them to? We seem far less reluctant to jump up the divisions. Just my own observations :??
