There wouldn't be much point in fighting Martin Watson.....he is lower ranked, and he doesn't hold a title.Kevo wrote:Excellent win Dean old chap.![]()
What are your plans for your next fight. Boxing News were saying how they'd like to see you fight Martin Watson (scottish lightweight champ), I havn't seen any of his fights, but according to them it would be a 'corker'.
True. How about steve Murray then, would be a good fight alsoDynamite Dean Phillips wrote:There wouldn't be much point in fighting Martin Watson.....he is lower ranked, and he doesn't hold a title.Kevo wrote:Excellent win Dean old chap.![]()

Absolutely gutted about this, I'm placing my boxing collection onto DVD and I was looking forward to watching this fight skipping the Hare mismatch, after going out celebrating my mates birthday.
I managed to watch Hare, Stuart Phillips
, and Gammar when the bastards in the pub turned it over for some crap. I checked the time and I wasn't even nine, so I thought Cook and Phillips and Sky would have shown 5 contest complete.
So what happend?

I have no idea why Sky didn't show my fight with Muya. The only reason I can think of is they could have mixed Stuart Phillips up with me, because of the same surname. The only thing I can come up with!stujones wrote:Absolutely gutted about this, I'm placing my boxing collection onto DVD and I was looking forward to watching this fight skipping the Hare mismatch, after going out celebrating my mates birthday.

I think sky were banking on the main fight finishing early, and screening mine straight after, but since the main fight went the distance, there was no time for anything else.REAL_DEAL wrote:sky didnt mix your fights up i think, the other phillips fight was live if i recall straight after hare match
I am awaiting news back from sky as to what they are planning to do with it, and will keep you posted. I suspect they will screen it on a future Ringside programme.
Cheers.
Well done on a good win Dean! Gutted it was not shown, instead three mismatches which did little to whet the appetite for the main event. I actually watched the replay on Sunday at 12 and they even messed that up, after the adverts before the main event they went straight into round five and showed until seven, then they cut it midway through that round and said they had technical problems before starting the fight from the beginning but then cutting out other rounds because all the messing had caused it to nearly run long!!
What a load of rubbish
